Hi all! A community soundtrack sounds like a lot of fun. Count me in.

I’ll create a thread for some of my tunes ASAP!

I have to admit, I was anxiously awaiting for @CaseyEdwards to answer @SteveAdamo’s summons. The piece you linked above that you did for the adventure/fantasy trailer is really great. It’s hard to deny your talent, and you’re an obvious fan favorite in these forums  Welcome back!

Thanks, @Doug! I should probably stop asking “how high?” every time @SteveAdamo asks me to jump! In all seriousness though, after Stonehearth resurrected me to the forums again, I’ve been cross referencing some of my synths and plugins with chip sets used in/for game consoles appropriate to the famous era of those awesome RPG games we all know and love! Those days are very unique, especially to our generation that grew up with them, and I think the notion of keeping that alive today is very special!

Oh Mr. Edwards.

I’ll be sure to add your name to my Christmas card list this year!

@SteveAdamo and I have got a glorious card this time around, we’re laying down on a beautiful thick furred rug, in front of an open fire, the baubles on the christmas tree behind us are shimmering - it’s just perfect.

(I appear to have taken that a bit far, I’ll try and refrain in future).

I want ugly Christmas sweaters, a dog with a Santa hat, and milk mustaches or I’m sending it back.

Wait…weren’t we talking about music? :stuck_out_tongue:

Those three words never go together. All Christmas sweaters are beautiful works of knitwear!

Best I can do is an aloe vera plant with a hat, sorry.

And detract from the glory of the real moustache?! Sir you wound me.

Of course, this is all inspiration for your next piece ‘Ode to Steffers’.

oh, now that’s brilliant… i challenge any of our musical maestros to produce said track…

we’ll toss in a custom musically themed title for the victor!

New track over on my thread: S.M.O.M - Stonehearth Music Overhaul Mod

Edit: Used the wrong link, DUH!

@Geoffers747 / @SteveAdamo (Steffers)… haha The only thing I can think of to match such a silly request is a silly piece of music. I present to you my first thoughts on the matter: IOA Soundtrack - Welcome to Seuss Landing

HAHA! :stuck_out_tongue:

@SteveAdamo @Doug I have created my own (Thread?(I want to say subreddit for some stupid reason XD)) for my music so I will no longer spam this one. I have been really busy with the holidays and all so I haven’t gotten much done… The (current) full version of Stonehearth Aria is on there, I am not a big fan of how it turned out, I will probably keep working on it.

@Vaughan We are our own worst critics… I can’t tell you how many times I iterate on work and still end up saying “I am not a big fan of how it turned out.” Thanks for posting this sir, I’ll go give it a listen!

If you ever feel like sharing a cheeky sample of anything, well, I’m sure we would find it most interesting!

Hey @Doug can you please listen to my shorter, improved version of The Northmen? It’s over on my thread.

Hoping to get one more track done before the soft deadline. Looking forward to hearing the compilation that gets included

@tyrcian Of course! On my way!

Well unfortunately I am just discovering this game, but I ultimately aspire to be a composer of some sort, preferably games. I would have loved to write something and get some critique but I feel in just five days anything I Wright would just be rushed and sloppy. On the other hand really looking forward to see what gets put on the fan soundtrack as well as the official!

welcome aboard @Berrydiddle!

well, give it a go! and fear not, the community soundtrack wont be integrated anytime soon… let’s hear what you have in mind! :+1:

I think it’s a good thing that you respect it enough to not want to submit something that could be ‘sloppy’ but still go for it, okay you will probably miss the soft deadline, but there’s nothing stopping people including the music in their own game, and we can still critique things right?

So, I’d say go for it and let us hear what you have

I think you’re very much like me if I’m honest, aspiring to be a music composer preferably for games when older, don’t have any software (MuseScore and Finale Notepad are good free programmes by the way), although I’m hopefully getting Sibelius First for Christmas :snowman:

Anyway, I can’t say any of the stuff I’ve wrote is fantastic, but it certainly didn’t take 5 days. Right now I’m in the middle of mock exams but at the weekend I plan on polishing up anything I have, merging together any random melodies I have and accompaniment parts (I’ve done a weird amount) as best I can and throwing it all out there in a mass upload! After all, you can’t be selected if you don’t put anything up or have photos you can blackmail Doug with

@Berrydiddle Welcome and glad you’ve made it. I’m sure everyone here would love to hear what you can put together. Don’t worry about the soft lock on the 15th, just take your time and use this thread as a place to share your work and get constructive criticisms. It’s a soft lock for a reason btw, who knows, in a couple months your music might be so loved by the community that I’ll have to figure out a way to squeeze a track in the game
