[Mod] Settlement Decor Mod [Download available]

Hey there @TriffidGirl, welcome to the Discourse :smiley:! No need to apologize for being new, we all were at some point :wink:.

This mod adds lots of new craftable items to the game. The easiest way to know if this is working would be to look at one of your crafters and check for new items. Looking for something like the comfy bed with curtains above it would tell you if it is working.

Thanks for the quick reply @jomaxro! I don’t see anything new with my carpenter so I presume it’s not working. Pretty sure I have the save location right though. Any ideas?

You have a18 or a19? In a19 you must enable The Mod in the settings

Hmm… I just downloaded this to confirm that it is working, all good for me. Let’s check the basics:

  1. Assuming the game is installed via Steam, you placed settlementdecor.smod in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stonehearth\mods, correct?
  2. Can you verify what game version you are playing? Are you in A18 release 663 or A19 develop 3169?
  3. Can you upload (or copy/paste) your stonehearth.log file? It will be located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stonehearth

I have installed other mods, i.e. the better stockpiles one and that seems to work okay.

So I’m currently using 0.18.0 release 663 x64 build. Yeah, it’s in the location you stated unfortunately it won’t let me upload the log and the log is too long to put into one message so I’m going to have to put it in two.

Hmm…you should be able to upload, did it say “new users can’t upload files”? If so, please try refreshing the forums and uploading again. The logs you copied seem to be missing the beginning of them, when the game is first launched, which is the section I was hoping to look at.

One more idea: could you try temporarily moving all non-default mods out of the folder, and just have settlement decor in there?

This mod works with A19 but I’m having some issues.
The items from this mod appear with messed up categories (string of code instead of a category) and can’t be clicked to sell at merchants. They place fine though! So just letting you know this is a bug!

Hey! I hope you still working on this mod coz its great one!
I have small bug to report. When I use the Carved Stone Window the heartling think of it as a char/bench and they sit on the window to eat.

I’m not actively working on new additions to the mod but I am still fixing any bugs people find and updating the mod to work with the latest alpha version. So Thanks for letting me know about the bug. I have released a new version and informed the hearthlings its far too dangerous to eat while sitting in the window. :slight_smile:
