Does anybody have, or is willing to create, a vanilla minecraft server?
I could try, but I’m not sure it would go that smoothly

i have just started a 1.6 vanilla a week ago with two friends. we’re building a huge pantheon right now but i’m not sure if they want to have new players on it as it’s not hosted by me. i will ask. otherwise i can try to set up a small one with hamatchi access tonight. anyway i would love to play with you guys and we could import some of our QC stuff into the world to build us a stoneheartish village!

@HeartfangWolf I think you’re right, it probably wouldn’t be too great, I know it’d be awful if I tried and hosted something.

btw. what kind of server you guys want to play? plain vanilla or vanilla bukkit to play later on with fancy stuff like multiworld, world edit (i guess for QC import we’ll need this). oh and i loved to mess around with voxelsniper as well… a pretty powerful tool. oh and all the hunger games & mob arena stuff… well well this was fun.
but as i said i’m fine with a simple vanilla as well.

I like everything really. Although most of my greater awesomeness with can lag small servers if there’s mods going as I tend to try and build absolutely huge automators if there’s any mod that allows that. Some of the tekkit modpacks might be worth looking at though.
So… is there a server one could join?
Cause I need to build yet another sky high tower.

I am fine with whatever server mode too. When I play singleplayer I have lots of mods installed.
I must concur. Tekkit has some pretty fantastic modpacks.
i must admit, i play vanilla almost exclusively… in fact, i cant think of a single mod i’ve ever loaded…
texture packs, definitely… but not many mods… just so you all know what you’re getting into when you hear me saying “oooooh… shiny!”

I am willing to join a server but I prefer feedthebeast over tekkit if the server will have a mod pack
