This contest is rather simple. Your goal is to make the best town within 80 (stonehearth) days!
Here are the rules:
You must have it on normal mode. To prove this, include a screenshot of some monsters near your town, or better yet, a footman fighting monsters near your town. This could be a hindrance to your success, but that’s what makes it fun.
You must complete your town before 80 days have passed. You can call your town complete before 80 days have passed, but where’s the fun in that? To prove you have completed this within 80 days, take a screenshot of you most recent save file!
You must also include pictures of your town (DURR), with a minimum of 2 ( not including the pictures of proof I talked about earlier) and a maximum of 5. Please try to get pictures of you entire town.
Mods are not illegal, as long as all they do is add ascetics or items. Mods that help with building or change the game engine are ILLEGAL! bum bum bum!
Besides that, there’s really no limitations! You could have just a ton of wood houses, a bunch of art builds, or even an underground cave system! The choice is yours!
If you do use mods, please tell us what mods you have used!
Above all these rules, be a friendly sportsman, and always encourage other competitors!
The contest ends on July 21st! (That’s a month so I better not be gettin’ any late submissions)
As for the reward, I’m afraid that unless someone else is willing to offer a reward, the only reward I can give you is a pat on the back and bragging rights, unless someone else is willing to offer a reward. And remember, if you don’t meet the above criteria, then you must fix anything wrong if you were missing something from your submission within a week OR BE DISQUALIFIED!
Also, if you are a serious forum user or just a member of team radiant, than please, feel free to request the position of being a judge!
Now then. Let the games begin, and may the best architect of Stonehearth cities WIN!
I can try to whip something up. I kind of wanted to wait until the next update, just to get some new content in the next project I start on. Hopefully we’ll see that new release before a whole month, right?
There’s no way of being rigorous with mods/cheating/people using instabuild… Would you be able to run a save file without the mods that were used to create it? If not, the winner can submit his/her savegame to be verified with the mods that were claimed to be used. Even then I’d suspect clever workarounds
I don’t think older computers can run the full 80 days! This one’s not so much a ‘problem’, but a vocalisation of my jealousy/displeasure with my current setup.
Who’s judging? You need to let us know how these will be ranked!
People must be trustworthy to enter the contest. These are generally people you see active and being friendly on the forums a lot.
Remember, you don’t have to use all 80 days. However, as a precaution against insta-build, you must have spent a minimum 40 days building your town!
And lastly, I will be judging by the standards of creativity, astecthic pleasure, and neatness. Guest judges are welcome! They can judge by any standards they wish! Guest judges must have at least some renown on the forums. Judges, to enter, must state their most popular post and their judging standard if they wish to enter! Maximum of 3 judges!
As for the whole alpha 11 issue, I decided not to change the deadline. Will you use alpha 10, and get a head start/more time? OR will you use alpha 11, for a more up-to-date experience? The choice is yours!
Signing in I’ll begin later today / tomorrow.
I’ll be using Tuhalu’s columns mod and my own Buildable fireplace mod (build starting fireplace for two stone, level 2 mason)
Hmmm, Idk if i have time on my hands. Getting some homes built and have to be at the site a lot. Trying to get the 1st house to pass inspection. And just started the 2nd house. But I will try. It will probably be a slow effort. I Get real busy in the spring time. I have been reading forum a lot lately lol. and trying to keep up with updates.

[/quote] Nice! Best of luck with the houses… And don’t leave any 2x4s on the roof!
You have nearly a month! I’m certain you can pick yourself of the ground before then! I don’t wanna rush you, but I still believe you can do this, at least!
