That’s exactly what I mean. It’s impossible (for me) to make that second image. They may have used Photoshop to get the eyes and mouth like that.
What has been your favorite suggestion or idea that’s emerged from the forums?
If you can’t pick one favourite just any that stuck out
Hey everyone, so I’ve picked out the 10 questions for tonight.
I might sneak a couple more in on the end an hour or so before the stream. But we’ll have to wait and see!
it’s going to be a late night for you my friend…
Tell me about it I’ll probably stay for the first hour of the livestream. Maybe more, depends how naked people get.
They did, however, specify that there will be…what did they call them? Well let’s just call them loss conditions (as opposed to victory conditions).
One that they seemed particularly fond of was the game ending zombie apocalypse, which they said may come from something like using too many necromancers to raise the dead.
So there will, I believe, be ways you can lose the game, but no way for you to win, if I understood correctly.
Tom showed some facial impressions in the “Dev Session: Animating the Mammoth” on twitch (link: Twitch). The animation part ist at 2:13:00.
The animation shown was awesome but it was made in 3ds max. I want them to show, if it’s possible to make those same facial expressions in Qubicle.
I WAS SO BUSY AT WORK I ALMOST MISSED THE STREAM! I would have been sad, damn it.
How much wood would it take to create furniture?
friendly edit: Question: Can you upgrade workbenches, tools, and other wood related objects in-game?
YES he actually modeled a starter carpenter bench and showed a higher level one. As for the tools and other wood items he didn’t mention that at this time… Please remember all of this is still subject to change.
SO yeah, really tired today after staying up until 2am to watch… not dissapointed awesome insights and workflow stuff
I did have a question Tom was taking questions from discourse, Google Moderator and chat. What is the chat? irc or something like that?
If you have a Twitch-Account, you can join a chat, just right next to the stream-window.
@voxel_pirate is correct, there is a chat window that allows for interaction if you have a registered account… but as an aside, there is an IRC room for SH… i’ve never set foot in there myself though…
@voxel_pirate ah ok cheers for the info
Thanks everyone for the questions! I know he answered @Zendorf @SteveAdamo and @voxel_pirate’s questions - I missed the second hour of the stream so don’t know if he got to any of the others!
I will go back through the stream over the weekend and update the Q & A thread accordingly!
For the next livestream I might make a slight change and only allow questions that are relevant to the livestream, but we shall wait and see!
Please do. It helps to keep the stream on topic and avoids repeats of old questions. Thx!
rather than just only on topic it may be adviceable to make a poll on some none related and then try to get the say top two voted or liked questions that aren’t related.
that way most of th elive stream is on topic but a couple of other decent questions get answered
Consider it done! Apologies for any off-topicness that occurred, I know I’m guilty of asking one myself!
@easto1a I was thinking about doing 8 on-topic and 2 off-topic, but we’ll see. There might be a stream where only 5 people ask a question in which case, well, yer. Whereas other times there might be a load of on-topic questions, which should perhaps be answered over the off-topic stuff.
that might make more sense… it feels somewhat like we missed an opportunity to dive into “all things workshop” last night… or, perhaps we can group questions… 5 general and 5 specific to the topic at hand…
