Well since this thread has been brought back from the dead, let me add my list as well
My all time favourite, and by far undisputed favourite series has to be The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson I have read the entire series 4 or 5 times, simply love it
Other favourites include
Riftwar Cycle (made up of many smaller series) by Raymand E Feist
The Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind
The Shannara books by Terry Brooks
Nearing the end of my Riftwar re read and need something else to read afterwards, @SteveAdamo any recommendations since we seem to have similar tastes?
now i really need to get started with The Wheel of Time. i have it but it just lies on my bookshelf

I rather enjoy the Dune series. Only on the second book but I absolutely loved the first one!

I love the one where all the greatest characters go on a trip to the moon, I forget the name of the book but I know Rincewind , Carrot and the librarian were in the ship but there was someone else who I forget.
