What are some of your favorite books/series?

Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling.

The Lord Of The Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien.

Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin.

That’s the most prominent in terms of Books, but my love is and will always be in manga  where I read pretty much everything I can get my claws on.
Seriously I checked two years ago or so and had the equivalent of over 8000e in manga (most volumes bought for around 3-4e) and I read even more online through scanlations.
A lot of those volumes are not even edited anymore. :heart_eyes_cat:
The first time my manga otaku friend came to my house, he was drooling so much… I literally had to kick him out of the house or he would have stayed forever

I’m quite barbaric when it comes to reading books. But i have to say that i loved Brave new world by Aldous Huxley.

Well since your name more or less means cat in japanese, i suppose that makes sense. Reading manga’s is something that i myself quite love (watching anime aswell, depending on the series), if we’re including those i can name a few of my favorites.

There are to many to decide so I leave with a quote.
“A tomb now suffices him to whom the whole world was not enough”. -Alexander the Great

I do love the Spooks series, but my favourite book of all time is probably a joint top, between Once - Moris Gleitzman, and Alone on a wide wide sea - Michael Morpurgo

I NECROMANCE THIS THREAD!!! RISE SON OF…@Steveadamo? I thought you would be the least likely to make this thread…@Thorbjorn42gbf I have risen this thread for you. You do the rest.

but but but. i am the necromancer

Wizards are more powerful than you silly Necromancers, Stupid children think they can raise the dead…Pfff!

well technically necromancers are wizards they are just focussing on a other field

Wizards can dabble in a bit of Necromancy if they choose but a Necormancer being a wizard!? How Absurd! Next thing you will tell me is that Wizards don’t wear Broad rimmed pointy hats!

but back to topic @newf that series you talked about be fore the thread jump what is it about?

Master and Commander?

yes :book:

Its basically about an English Naval Officer during the Napoleonic wars and a Catalan-Irish Doctor, Naturalist and spy. Its really good and they even made a movie of it called Master and Commander: Far Side of the World

you know i mostly read fantasy… but exception can be made.

You won’t regret it although please don’t pay much attention to the sailing Mumbo-Jumbo, I rather like being the only one who understands all this stuff.

i just need to get done with science of discworld 1, 2 and 3 first

implying… i’m illiterate? not well read?

yes, indeed… :+1:
