In the materials tab in blender, just keep scrolling down past where you choose the color. ALthough admittedly I’m not sure how qubicle handles materials on .obj exports.

Alright, so I have obtained more Render Knowledge. I am know a Lvl 6 Render Mage. I made up a render a while ago of a thief with a quiver… this time it’s a preview.
I feel like I’ve made good progress. As requested I’ve given the front as well as the back view so people can see the quiver itself. I have been considering getting rid of the pre-made pouch on his belt and making a more detailed one, just to amp up the detail level.
That’s all I got for now… sorry for the lack of progress so far, I’m trying to get back into speedy mode like I was in Qubicle
OH can someone tell me how to get rid of the lines on his face…
agreed! i love the pose, holding the bow horizontally… very cool…
the quiver worked out nicely as well (looks like stitched leather to me)…
I like it! Though the arrows feel to… neat to me. They are in a perfect row. Just my opinion.
This all looks awesome! Im excited to see more. I wish I knew the first lick about modeling and animating, but this looks like a cool and fun project.
RENDER UPDATE;
Been up almost all night doing some work on Renders. I feel I’ve made it to Lvl 7…
The main character renderized! There’s this weird pixel thing going on in certain places, trying to figure out how to fix it. In the final product he will use the sword seen here (which is a good 4-5 voxels TALLER than him) as well as a machete in the front hand. I feel I’m beginning to find the style I want to do for the comic, if I have time I want to try some fight animation tests.
If you have any opinions or Constructive criticism, let me know it would help me out a lot!
In somewhat related conversation, would it be possible for anyone to build this as a set piece for this series?
well, first… im loving that sword… looks formidable! his other hand however, im not sure what’s going on… is he beckoning? holding something else? im not seeing the machete if its in there…
i can see the “grainy” look your referring to… concentrated in his torso region…
It was missing the texture file and I deleted it. I’ll be posting a revamped version with the Machete in his hand

A little variation should be added to the machete and sword. Just a little color difference around the edges to indicate wear. After all, he was probably buried (and revived) with those weapons, right?
This is after they are restored by the guild smith. In the actual start they’ll be more browish grey

Here’s a new render for you guys to show where I am. I’m figuring out background lighting and scale so I can make it look stunning and pretty. I wanted to get multiple characters on screen, so I did thanks to the help of @voxel_pirate
2 Litres of Coka-cola, A large Pizza and 1.5 hours later, A good looking render.
That’s a very nice render if you ask me. I guess I will need to buy 2 liters of coke and a large pizza today and solve the riddle of lightning for me… .

the render looks fantastic… has the skellie sheathed his machete? looks slick…
and the poor critter to his right looks positively awed in the skellie’s presence…
Nah, He’s just more lazy than anything. I tried to incorporate the machete in his hand but I couldn’t figure out a pose or a good way to make it feel complete with it in his hand so I opted to sheath it. I was also going to toss in Space Goblin in the Backgrounds sky just as a quick little fun thing to due but when I did that it took the render time from 1 hr to 1.5 hours without multiple passes.
I am not going to be posting a render today, or not that I have planned. I want to make an animation and I want to start asap

TRAGEDY HAS STUCK D:!!!
I was about half way through rigging a new model when my mouse stopped functioning… this is bad because I work on a laptop with a very horrid touch pad. Qubicle and Blender both require a middle mouse button to function optimally and I am way to used to my workflow to change it very fast.
I have no clue when I will have a new mouse, until then I may not work as much. @^#% my life.
