Tales of Stonehearth: People with Swords

Can we get a list of who has been invited to the team/who has accepted the invite?

I won’t do that because I wouldn’t want pressure their answers by posting names. If people respond positivly then I will make a crew listing in the Main post

SERIES UPDATE:

I haven’t done a lick of work on the series these few days. I have gotten some very tragic news of a death in the family. I will be putting ToS on the back burner for now, though I will do my best to continue routinely updates.

Starting next week I’ll be starting my new job. Obviously this will limit my work time.

Now this doesn’t mean the project is cancelled. I still very much plan to get this series out there for your viewing pleasure, sadly due to some personal matters time will be very hard to come by.

I am very sorry. I hope to return with good news next update.

These things take priority.

So there’s no reason to be:[quote=ā€œPandemic, post:104, topic:2330ā€]
I am very sorry.

Take the time you need and I have no doubt you’ll be back at some point with some great updates! We aren’t going anywhere, in fact part of being a moderator is that I have to spend the next 15 years on the forums regardless of how many people visit.

UPDATE:

So, as I have told you guys my family has been going through some rough days. I wanted to do something unique and different with ToS. I have come up with a way to do something unique and different with the story, BUT it isn’t a series in the way expressed earlier.

I am going to leave this decision to you guys, the people who will hopefully enjoy what comes out of my idea. I have thought about making this story into a comic instead of a web-series. As it stands I have 2 writers (Myself & @CableX17), A writing consultant ( @naturalnuke). It seems much more possible at this moment in time to make this into a comic. This will make the progress of completing my idea much much faster, as well as making a lot less stressful for me to make but this will make it much different. I won’t be able to apply the same level of detail.

Keeping it a web-series will do the opposite. It’ll be very slow in production, more stressful but more detailed. Everything will remain as is. I will heavily consider the results of this poll thing as the week continues, but if things continue as is I my convert it due to time constraints.

Let me know!

I think the web series, but maybe some shorts instead ??

I still want to make a series. If I did, it would be Space Goblin because there is no over laying story and it’d just be extremely funny tid-bits of Pandemic brand humor.

Can I assume from it being a comic it will either be amusing or a superhero one? And can I get clarification on which it is? Honestly, I think either would be great and if it means more content then, well…

Well the best way I could summarize it would be… Deadpool gone medieval

Oh good gracious, yes yes yes!

yup, that get’s my stamp of approval…

UPDATE:

By the looks of it so far this will be made into a comic  I’ll leave the option up till Friday.

While the poll is going on I have been in Blender doing some render tests. Here is my results so far:

At a nice 720p, I made this. This is a segment of the Necromancer’s Tower (Kinda a book work isn’t he?) I put a few objects in there, along with the newer model of the Helmet Stand which atm is being used to hold Conradin’s Hood (or soon to be). I will be pushing this manimal into GIMP or Photoshop to add a Text Block, to see how things will go!

If people wish I can make Desktop Background of this later

Rendering Progress:

I am continuing to work on the render settings. I updated the previous shot:

I added a bed, wall candle and a rug. Had to add the candle, I felt I should explain where the light is coming from.

i really like the scene… very moody! :+1:

what are the other objects strewn on the desk? and from the most recent perspective, the chair looks somewhat ā€œstuntedā€, and seems to blend in with the desk a bit…

I’m going to try to apply a material color to it that’s a bit of a bright orange, that way it’ll have the effect that when light is hitting it that it is bouncing off the top onto the seat area

Modelling Update:

Thanks to @Froggy, being awesome and posting the screens for the Lich model. I now have a reproduction of it also available to the public over on the Template Thread.

I will be modifying the colors to be a dark brown and yellow (Colors of the False King) and using it as my Necromancer model! I’ve also been cutting up the set I previewed earlier so I can speed up Render times of images. I hope to have a preview panel up soon!

Have you tried playing with options like emit or ambient? They’re fairly good at controlling how much light affects something with smaller changes, or just use a different mirror/specular colour to give an illusion of silk or something.

Once I find those options I’ll be sure to try them xD
