Steffers Geodamo Siphoning Center For Painting And Stuff

Since people are posting art, I figured I’d toss one of my drawings into the pile.

Pardon the crappy photo I don’t own a scanner.

That’s good, nice work!
And it kind of makes me want to go and play Machinarium again <3

Ok, so let’s try.

I know I am awful in drawing by the way.

I submit for your consideration my audition for the Steffers Geodamo Center for Painting and Stuff. In this piece, I am trying to convey a sense of the terrifying and confusing nature of life when nothing is what it seems.

A brilliant picture, but the text on the top-right spoils it.

wow, very nicely done @Pandemic! you clearly have a grasp for drawing… is this your own creation, or derived from something you’ve seen?

i like it! very manga-esque…

success!

So I’ve found this folder on the dark and abyssal depths of my hard drive with a really old backup… While looting the hoard I found another folder, this one called “Devaneios no Paint” which means something like “Reveries on Paint”.

I’ll now start sharing some of the amazing collection that was lying there full of cybernetic spider webs and datadust.

It is my own design.

I heard that Peter Jackson wanted to use this scene in his most recent LOTR movie, but that you wouldn’t sell him the copyright.

Oh he did, and he offered a lot. But I do believe that what we are doing here is true art, and you can’t put a price tag on true art!

Did this in the first week of the kickstarter but never posted it on the forum. Some kind of monk. Wanted to do more in the same style, but then came Qubicle. :stuck_out_tongue:
And yes, I shamelessly stole the background from the concept art for the bunnies. Would have liked to have the one without the dark edges but it was harder to reconstruct.

With people posting funny stuff and people posting real artworks I’m not sure what I should do anymore (lol)

OH, GAWD, I’M JUDGING WHAT IS AND WHAT ISN’T ART.
WHAT HAVE I BECOME? :frowning: :frowning:

What you should have said @DaniAngione was “With people posting silly art and others posting serious art”. That conveys that they’re both art, but some are done intending for laughs, and others intending for admiration.

Its all art, one way or another.

or, it’s all not art.

or some is, and some isn’t, but we won’t know for another 100 years when the art text books come out then

now a days most things would be considered art even if it is not really art

… … … :point_left:

that’s me, being speechless …

that is an excellent looking monk, and fits the theme very nicely … kudos! :+1:

Discussing what is art and what isn’t is one of the finest traps out there :stuck_out_tongue:
Either way, let’s change subject by going back to @Agon 's awesome monk. It’s awesome, seriously. Have I mentioned it’s awesome?
