Well, this wasn’t easy to find, (it was marked resolved, so it did not appear in the feed looking at yesterday), but here is the discussion from yesterday:

Looks like the issue was a fluke error with the Steam installation, and despite reinstalling through Steam, some files were still in the folder. Assuming you installed via Steam, can you try deleting the entire installation folder, then deleting the game in Steam, and installing it again. The default install folder is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stonehearth.
Please note, if you have any save games or templates you want, please be sure to copy them from the saved_games and saved_objects folders before deleting the entire Stonehearth folder.
