If we ever have a ranking system for modders. Pepe will always be number 1. Great idea printing them out in a 3D printer. But what I find really amazing is that you even took the time to color them. I can’t wait to see the final product.
This game is already bring us all together. I can’t wait till they release an official modding tool for us. So, we can learn from people like Pepe and start creating an amazing world full of wonder.
Pepe your awesome and keep it up were all huge fans.
ok folks, large voxel 3d-print UPDATE ahead but first the fun part:
@SteveAdamo@Geoffers747@wminsing guys i can’t help but i right now totally would love to puzzle out some kind of board/ tabletop game for SH! this would be plain awesome…and a lot of work for sure! i have a rough concept in mind already but i need your brains & input, what do you really want to play/see ?! there are so many game systems, this could go from Catan (one of my favorit board games ever) up to real tabletop battle games like Warhammer Fantasy. maybe i should open a new thread for SH Tabletop…? :]
@sdeeblush* thanks a lot Stephanie! fun thing, i was thinking about a similar company like Dwarfen Forge as soon as i had these little barrels in my hands (http://www.tabletop-world.com/)! i will upload the painted taverna stuff in a few minutes.
@Skull24 thanks a bunch for the nice words Will, also can’t wait to get my hands on the beta mod gateway! @AKAtheMilkman thanks!
YAY, new 3d-print batch! well where should i start… i guess with the taverna stuff you already did see. these parts were a lot of fun to paint. where this technology accuracy stand right now i don’t think it make sense to print smaller scale, i did choose 1 voxel = 1mm x 1mm x1mm. you already can see some flaws here & there and the parts needed a little bit of cleaning up. now the stone floor base is a bit off scale and just there for the mood… the stones are not printed, these are handcrafted out of polymere clay.
That is awesome!! well done.
Have you ever given thought to providing this as a service (minecrafters and Stonehearth/ers would probably love to have their characters, creations printed).
I know there is a service for Minecraft but they charge a testicle to get anything printed, not sure if the print cartridges you use are expensive though.
Hey realy great work!!
I like the look of it and it would fit great. Only thing i would change is the ground Maybe some smaler stones, more worked stones. They dont look like many feet have walked above em. More like a dungeon
I dont know if you like it but i have made some thoughts on seasons and effects on our workers. Like hard cold winters, dry summers and so on. I made some qubicle furniture for community buildings, taverns or cityhalls, where your workers meet up, eat , drink and maybe talk about the day and their work.
@Pepe The 3D printing is brilliant! i’m stunned! the tavern looks amazing!
if anything they should added 3D miniatures as a perk option for buyers! heck i would have paid 50$ if there were miniatures involved
@DPrime123 thx, i know there are quite a few companys out there already printing minecraft stuff. they usualy work with another print system based on sandstone filled up with ink and made durable with superglue afterwards. so you get a fully colored model. the system i use can print only one color and works with melted ABS plastic.righty now 3d printing is still pricy and i won’t set up a printing shop for this stuff… but i do enjoy playing with this thingy! :]
@DerGreif88 danke! ;] jep, did read it and really like the idea & your models. we will see what the game will bring us!
@SharpKris thanks, jep miniatures & merchandising stuff would be fun but i think the developers have some other things they will focus on first. :]
so let’s see what else we have lurking around on my desk…
some larger versions of the ice weapons (1 voxel = 2x2x2mm)
now this is for the 8bit retro game lover to hang from the walls! voxel sword mounted on a walnut wood plaque with bees wax finish!
bear hunting trophy! (1 voxel = 3x3x3mm) already with a layer of brown primer, not sure if i will paint this…
haha just did see, here we also have a sneak peek of what is coming tomorrow! stay tuned folks! :]
ok, honestly… im a little upset right now… i look around my desk, and all i see are notebooks with code snippets and hand drawn dungeon maps… you however, have frackin’ 3D printed voxel weapons?!?
i just cant go on gushing this much @Pepe … its just not healthy… for either of us… so, and i say this with a heavy heart… but, i need to break off this man crush… and no, its not you… it’s me…
but honestly, if radiant doesnt outsource you to add some of this for their own (perhaps not yet announced) SH store, they need to start the paperwork right away…
ok. those or pretty freakin awesome keep up the creative work and dont stop ever. i really wish i had a 3D printer like that so i could have 3d voxels h i cant even explain in words how much in awe im in right now … is … is this what love feels like?
@SteveAdamo i totally feel with you Steve, it’s indeed pretty fun to play with this stuff! there will be fan stuff & merch for sure but that’s not my concern right now…i just want to play SH with my friends and you guys! …oh and the last thing i want is to damage your health, so let’s try to change our relationship to a more platonically form! ;D
@tkh haha good point, thanks i will save some energy for the release! :]
@Geoffers747 yeah need some monsters right now! back to QC and modelling then… :]
@Martin4844 lol yeah this must be love! thanks mate!
