Wait… does that penguin have a fish bone?
Hmm…

LOL! Yeah a 3d-printer might be one of these gadgetry you think you don’t really need, but in the end you truly need one! Well maybe not right now but pretty soon! ;D
[/quote]yeah… im just not sure about the price…
thanks mate ![]()
edit: also, @Pepe what kind of paints do you use? (sorry if its been asked before)
@SteveAdamo Thanks for the offer mate, i will hit you with my sloppy story when i have a english version. :]
@Sandwitch Haha yes!! He’s indeed pretty dangerous! ;D
@8BitCrab will DM u about 3d-printers. I use acrylic paints from Games Workshop (Citadel) and Vallejo, they are a tad more expensive but the quality is very high and they have a lot more pigments than normal hobby paints.
UPDATE:
moarrr playtests… ^___^

A brief story based on those 2 pictures you posted
AND SO, THE MIGHTY PENGUAR STOOD OVER HIS ENEMY AS HE SCREAMED
"BOW BEFORE ME PUNY MORTAL!"
BUT BEFORE SAID ENEMY COULD RESPOND, PENGUAR STRUCK HIM DOWN WITH HIS GODLY FISHBONE!
UNFOURTANETLY, PENGUAR WAS SOON SURROUNDED BY ENEMY’S! HE GAVE THEM A WARNING, BUT THEY DREW CLOSER. THEN PENGUAR PROCEEDED TO SMITE THEM ALL USING HIS AWESOME FISHBONE SUPER ULTRA MANGO-TANGO-FOXTROT MARTIAL ART TECHNIQUE!
I thank you for your time.
Not to speak for @Pepe, but the technique is called “dry brushing”. Easy to look up on the internet. And yes, @Pepe’s work is amazing.
ahem could i, just, kinda… sneak in here and erm… help… @SteveAdamo with that proofreading perhaps? ![]()
Wow! This is awesome!
Zilla then begins to get sucked back into the map game hole
@Sandwitch haha thanks for the awesome Penguar little story, yeah you just don’t mess with him! ^^
@Ramcat thanks, yes i use dry brushing a lot and it’s great to accentuate the edges. but to get even more depth i paint the most raised edges with a very light tone of the colors a second time.
@8BitCrab sure thing!! this would be great, i’ll let u guys know when i have the story ready.
@Zilla thanks a bunch! :))
UPDATE:
Working a lot on the webpage recently and 3d-printing new game sets for larger playtest sessions.
Here’s something fun i did a while ago in Qubicle… yeah still doing pixel art in QC, just can’t get the hang of it in PS.
It’s an UI/frame design for the character cards i’m designing. I have tried to design different rarity frames for the top frame element: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic
Lookin awesome so far!
i’m beginning to like you more and more with every post you make ![]()

cant wait to see more from you!
I know this is always a bit of an odd question to ask but…
Where have you gone @Pepe?
@Sandwitch Haha totally legitimate question!! >_< Well i’m lurking here on discourse once in while and check some latest SH game design and mod stuff. Still working on that 3d-printable voxel board game but after the birth of my son everything got a tad slowed down. There is still a lot to tackle down but can’t wait to release a BETA version later this year.
Also working again on some wood toy designs lately…like on these chaps. They will be released tomorrow! ^___^
It’s nice to have you back! Can’t wait for that beta version! As for the new guy… He certainly looks like a fearsome guardian of the wooden kind!
Do you have any download links for these 3D models so I (we) could print them out?
P.S. What 3D system (Program, application) You use to look at the models.
-Cheers
