If I counted right it’ll be a massive 30 MODELS, all having to do something with the series . Head over there if you would like to see those.
My apologizes to those who prefer Discourse, but the site is lagging whenever I try/start to upload images of any sort. Though I will be uploading a small segment of story here in a matter of time.
I’m updating Discourse with my favorite of each DA/SHK update when they happen, that way you guys get the best ones in my opinion compared to filling this thread with models I am not particularly happy with.
The Female Thief, designed this in a sketch book during my vacation last week. I love this design, I adore the hood from the Skeleton Archer and I couldn’t resist using it.
A recreated goblin, I have 2 helmets and 3 armors remade from screenshot renders and Desktop Tuesday from awhile back.
Tytonis, The deity of the country. He’ll play a major role in the series.
I hope you enjoy the update, the Female Thief also has male counter parts. Enjoy
I was thinking about making a Space Man Goblin… I’ve been playing a metric ton of Pikmin and Pikmin 2 and they have the same body shape as Olimar so… yeah
I am going to try too make the faces animated, since the models in the game down have mouths it’s already going to take some tricky camera work to show who is talking. I think I might just make eyebrows for them and use those and different eye shapes to make emotion show through.
indeed… i scarfed the images from the campaign video, and posted them in another thread, but i cant recall what the topic was… when im back at my desk, im sure i can dig them up…
To me this says 'I wanna be like Jango Fett because he is the pinnacle of awesomeness’
Not sure if that was the intentional vibe but I love it all the same
So, A few weeks back @TobiasSabathius helped me out by exporting a model as an .obj so I can attempt to learn some animation before I have home edition. I decided I’d be a little awesome and made this:
Much like the main character of the series, I wanted to give this character a unique backstory and role for the series.
He was once the chief of a frost goblin horde in the Northern Regions of the world, they successfully raided over 30 capital cities in the northern hemisphere. One day, A black armored man approached and offered his horde a strong position over the human residences of the Green Country in exchange for the assassination of their queen. Though suspicious of the offer, he couldn’t resist the chance to take the green country for his clan, He placed himself and 11 of his strongest warriors along the roadside the Queen was travelling. Once the Queen entered the trap, they sprang into action slaughtering her and her escorts. They chanted and roared to the gods as they returned to their camp to retrieve the reward promised to him.
The man in black lied. When he and his warriors returned there was only fire and blood stained grasslands. Over the next few days the 12 remaining warriors fought each other over fault and blame… and the rage of goblins is not easily simmered. Tobias, once Chief of the terrifying horde of the north stood alone once more, walking aimlessly looking for the man in black.
Tobias is currently is a Stalker in the Thieve’s Guild in Tsydia. He has been assigned to watching the Necromancer Jhryne, who is attempting to resurrect an undead army to conquer the Green country. Though he doesn’t know that the one person he resurrects… is the main he sent to Death.
Now the model isn’t 100% complete yet. I plan to give his skin tone a little bit more blue, and design his axe and throwing knifes.
I wanted to show how much it helped me to get a head start on some animation work. So, I renamed the only friendly Goblin in the series after @TobiasSabathius. I hope you enjoyed the little backstory I gave him.
Been wanting to make another species that helps out the guild. I wanted something I haven’t seen yet, and I feel I have found a idea. After exploring DA and Google for 2 hours I found it.
Imps are demonic spawns that are often depicted a small and slim creatures. I took a different approach by making them have a small and wider look and by giving them fur.
In the series Imps are used a smugglers of good for the guild into and out of the country. So without saying the False King has banished the exsistence of Imps in the Green Counrty. I’m have a system of worth depending on the amount of people killed, often married couples. This is shown by Imps wearing the rings, as on this model he is wearing 2 on his ears and 2 on his hands.
A little dark but it gives a little more reason to why they smuggle for the guild, it both gives them a means to earn gold as well as opens up a chance to raise their worth by attacking married travellers.
