I went to the setting for my router already and set it up… Do I have to be logged in on the server (My computer) for it to log on you guys?

@Robbie86 I think the computer housing the server needs to be on but thats all I really know about mc servers :confused:

I left the computer on all night but I was not signed in on minecraft.
I’ll go on now… I just don’t know how to chat on MC :stuck_out_tongue:

@Robbie86 I have no idea what you mean. So you ran the Minecraft_Server.exe?
If that’s the case and you forwarded the MC servers port correctly to the machine that Minecraft_Server.exe runs on and there’s a hole poked into your desktop firewall if you have one, then you just need to give us your WAN-IP Address. You can get yout Internet-IP using this site for example:
http://www.whatsmyip.us/

The Minecraft server, as it is and not otherwise configured, uses no whitelist. Anyone with your IP and the right Minecraft version, can join and play. Given you gave us the right IP and everything is set up correctly on your Router and your desktop firewall.

Setting up a whitelist you can do, when you know everything works.

EDIT: You can chat by pressing “t”.

Oh thank you for all that knowledge.
OK Let me get this sorted out.

  1. I have the “Minecraft Server.exe” Running with the Default port of “25565”
  2. I have the latest Minecraft update.
  3. I went to port forwarding and got my Router setup correctly. ie. Galphan was logged in after I set it all up last night.
    Oh and
  4. My IP after going to that site you posted is IP: 99.234.10.87
    Hope all is working…

i am not admin here, just help out the Developer. It is whitelist, you have to apply at http://steamcraft.org/, its to keep out the casuals

@Robbie86 I checked out the server briefly, its coming along nicely. Might stop by again and build something nxt time.

I have my own, 24/7 hosted server. It has 18 slots, more than we’ll probably need. I barely ever do anything on it, so we could play around, survival, watever.

And no, I’m not going to run FTB. Ever.

This is a public server, silly Galphan. (and its whitelisted, even worse!)
