So looking at the stats that armor provides for the Hearthlings and I’ve noticed that most of the armor with the exception of Iron Mail & Full Plate Mail don’t provide a higher defense level then the starting military outfit given to them on promotion, in fact, the padded armor gives even less. So i was wondering if this is simply a bug, or perhaps there is some game mechanic I’m unaware of for balancing, or if this is just something that hasn’t be dealt with yet?
Since the Footman is the only combat job made so far, they need them to be able to wear all the different kinds of armor for testing purposes. When other combat jobs are available, the Footman will probably only equip “heavy” armor and other classes will wear “light” armor.
