Hearthling ADD. Some times you can get them working again by demoting them to worker and then promoting again to carpenter (or whatever their trade happens to be) Hope it helps until they get a patch for it

Crafter Stuck in Develop-2611

Hey Everyone, I’m trying to hunt down a bug whereby the crafter stops crafting. His queue is full of things, and his stockpiles are full of ingredients, but no item is “active” or “green.” Adding more items for him to evaluate does not start him up again. seems demoting then promoting it clears his ADD

Saving and reloading does the trick also. And you don’t lose experience that way, they start back at 0 experience for their current level when you re-promote them.
Saving and reloading is a good bandage for most of the “my workers aren’t doing X” glitches.

it appears this affects all workers who use a work bench new bug since the rework of workbenches

You can also try clearing all the orders on the workbench and posting new orders…sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. I know the all-powerful @sdee is working on this issue so hopefully it won’t be active for long.

My carpenter went idle and i have saved and gathered all the log details.
After my first crafting hearthling was acting odd i enabled the logging @sdee mentioned.

Summary:
carpenter went idle this time with a number of things in the recipe que.

Steps to reproduce:

1. normal game mode
2. play for a while
3. keep carpenter busy
   4.after awhile carpenter may go off and build a building or just idle with valid queued items not being built.

Expected Results:
crafting hearthling builds until que is empty or other task of higher priority occurs or even till the carpenter gets sick of making stupid wooden beds etc and demands a rest!

Actual Results:
crafting hearthling goes idle after 20mins or so

Notes:
re loading a save or demoting promoting the crafting hearthling seams to unfreeze the que.

@David_P, thank you so much! Looking into your log now. It looks like she got stuck trying to drop something in her crafting pack and never got out of that loop. If anyone else see this, please turn on the crafter logs and keep the logs coming!
