My Engineer died and i don’t want to wait until i have a new lvl 6 blacksmith to make a masters gong and when i promoted a hearthling he got his hammer and just was restocking items instead of making the items and when i set him on “just do your job” and if i do that he is just idle and standing somewhere Steps to reproduce:

with the summary it is i need a blacksmith at lvl 6 and i thought that if i de-promote my lvl 6 one to a simple worker and make another one to a blacksmith i could make that one to lvl 1 at least and then promote that one to a engineer because all of this is because my engineer died and after i did that he was just restocking items or chase poyos or being idle pls help
I have the same problem
With the achievement of the blacksmith 6 lvl he ceased to do anything
You must completely remove all of its tasks and set it to the task of manufacturing one at a time
Only in this case he does something and then reluctantly.
I would like developers to fix this bug
Pretty sure it has nothing to do with the blacksmith. With thoughts and feelings being a thing, hearthlings go off to do things in lord knows which priority. I find all of crafters admiring the poyo-pen every once in a while but their shit gets done eventually. I’ve yet to discover them truelly quitting their job, as with the 1 time it seemed stuck I simply demoted and promoted him again and it worked. Perhaps reloading your save file will do the same.
I tend to put all my crafters on Job only and have not experienced this issue. Maybe you accidentally hit the Job button on this crafter and he simply isn’t coded to do his job rn ?
To upload a save, locate the folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stonehearth\saved_games (assuming a default Steam install), zip the individual save’s folder (not the entire saved_games folder), and upload it. If the *.zip is less than 10 MB, feel free to upload it directly to the Discourse. If larger, please upload it to a cloud storage site like Dropbox, Google Drive, File Dropper, etc. and post the sharing link here.
that is not the point i de-promoted my lvl 6 blacksmith to a normal worker and made another hearthling to blacksmith but that apprentice blacksmith won’t do anything but restocking items
