Asterai's Qube thingies

i prefer it to the other griffin because of its vibrant colours that stand out

@SteveAdamo: I’m trying to capture the look of iridescent feathers in static colors on flat surfaces, which is… necessarily fraught with peril. But I’m very attached to the idea of a quetzal griffon, so it has to happen somehow. I’ve started to think I should include the black and white pinion feathers these guys have, boring though they are by comparison. Do you have any ideas about what could be different?

@Swift_Cube: Lol, maybe so. How do you think it compares to actual quetzals, though?

@Gridnick: Glad you like it. :smile:

Some reference photos:

It’s a really pity I can’t include that tail.

…Or can I? Some experimentation is in order.

It sure is in order, that would be awesome with a tail like that!

oh the beautifulness :stuck_out_tongue:

Might I recommend that you change the color of the Olive green areas, they should be more like a brighter lime green, telling by the pictures you posted.

hey man, what program you use to do the modeling?

D’you think you could make this work with my carriage?

These are fantastic! I would love to see this idea revitalized

@MordocPro: Qubicle Constructor Home Edition.

@ComeAsUR3: Not very likely to happen, sorry. But you are certainly welcome to take a shot at it yourself.

@daisyj201: Part of me would like to, but I’ve lost (read: destroyed by my own user error) some of the original files. I don’t know if I have any backups and I’m not sure if this work has a future, sadly.
