This comes out tomorrow I hear. Does anyone have a guest pass they’d be willing to share? @Miturion was nice enough to share a beta weekend pass with me but I was working and didn’t understand they were weekend-specific :frowning:

Just curious as to how the game is, a 7 day guest pass would be cool  Will help me decide about Wildstar as I agonize over the wait for Pathfinder Online.

p.s. the Land Rush first draft came out today and we have good allies down in the South East!! WOOO!!! Keepers of the Circle sharing the mountain with TEO! https://goblinworks.com/landrush/ Sorry, that was relevant to no one

haha im trying to nab my own key, everyone is gunning for them

Yeah, I actually got my hands on a guest pass from another forum. I second @Miturion’s opinion. It is nothing special unfortunately.

I keep trying to play it. I’ve made 4 characters, melee seems to be best. I’ve turned off the telegraphing to make it more interesting. At best I can play for 2 hours or so before stopping, sometimes it is more like 20 minutes.

It is almost like the game is giving me ADD. There’s an abundance of detail to look at, but no detailed information. Why am I getting gear with + + + + + stats after 20 minutes of gameplay? Why do quests involve 3-4 separate dialogue boxes in different parts of the screen? What is moxie? I hover over ā€œmoxieā€ in my character screen, I get nothing.

well said @Roughshod…

I literally played for 20 minutes during one of the beta phases… granted, that’s hardly a fair window to judge a game by, but I was just so overwhelmed by everything on the screen, I didn’t know where to focus!

I might be the ugly duckling around, but I really disliked Wildstar… I mean - by no means I thought it was bad - I suppose it’s just not my thing…

It felt like I was playing a Guardians of the Galaxy mod for World of Warcraft. And that would be awesome if WoW wasn’t 10 years old.

What I mean is: the game is probably great - seems to be great. I just couldn’t play for more than an hour because it felt like I’ve been playing that same game for years already… and I’m honestly quite tired of it.

Yeah. I read a long article post by the CEO of Goblinworks explaining why they’re starting with a specific group of market and not trying to appeal to the ā€œentireā€ market because it is impossible to satisfy the ā€œentireā€ market.

I suspect that I (we, seems like) are just not part of Wildstar’s market. People who are in not in the market for WoW will not be in the market for Wildstar. I wish them luck in expanding the MMO market. Overall MMO consumers are a pretty small group, and any growth is a positive thing. Wildstar players today might be playing a different MMO with me in 5 years, and that is great. Meanwhile, I’ll be uninstalling…
