What kind of Peaceful mode is that?

I think a Peaceful mode means that there are no enemys or something else that attacks you?
or am I wrong?

Hey there @JantoolHD, welcome to the Discourse! You are correct in your thoughts. Peaceful mode removes the goblin campaign and the random enemy encounters from the game, and that is it. Everything else is identical between the two modes.

but when I start a peaceful mode game there spawn undeads? is this correct?

No, there should be no undead spawning in a peaceful mode game.

but there are spawning and i think “wtf this should be peaceful” :smiley:

Then that might be a bug. Let me see if there is a way to double check what mode a game is…be back shortly.

Edit: Just found an easier way to check! No need to install debug tools, instead, open the console in game by hitting ctrl and c on your keyboard, then enter the following command:

call get_game_mode&obj=stonehearth.game_creation

You should then see either:

{
  "result": "stonehearth:game_mode:normal"
}

or

{
  "result": "stonehearth:game_mode:peaceful"
}

Let us know the result.

Thanks!

######Thanks @yang for the tip!

Are you sure you didn’t accidently just click normal mode? I just played through about 10 days and no enemies spawned for me. @jomaxro 's way of checking is the best way (that I know off) Good luck! and hopefully the enemies show remorse!

I think it’s just stonehearth telling you to man-up, THERE’S NO SUCH THING A PEACE, @JantoolHD, ONLY WAR!

Hi, maybe you have Candledark mod installed, so thats why Undead spawn. Tbh, never played peaceful mode so don’t know if Candledark is disabled then.

Do they attack your village ?

Yes they attack my village.

I don’t have installed any mod.
or is this mod standart? in every new installed stonehearth?

Alright, I have moved this over to the bug reports category…can you please upload your save game where this issue is occurring so the devs can troubleshoot it? To upload a save locate the folder (default is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stonehearth\saved_games assuming Steam) and copy the folder to a cloud storage site like Dropbox, Google Drive, File Dropper, etc. and post the sharing link here.

here are my save stats

Edit: This is the game stats i posted from the pictures i’ve posted.

OK. Just loaded the save. As suggested by @Ellazul (welcome to the Discoruse :smile:!) it does appear that you have Candledark installed, and that Candledark injects undead into the game master even in Peaceful mode. Below is a screenshot of the campaign browser in your save:

Notice how there are 3 branches. A “standard” Peaceful game has 2, Normal games have 4. The branch circled is the Candledark campaign, and is where the undead are coming from.

Also, upon load on my computer, I received a number of Engine Errors that were looking for Candledark files, but could not locate them as I do not have it installed:

Candledark is a mod created by @Froggy and released around Halloween and the time that Alpha 12 was released. It is not installed by default, but was listed in the dev blog with A12. See the post here: http://stonehearth.net/candledark-returns/.

Instructions to remove Candledark (and many more details) are in the linked post, but in brief:

  1. Close Stonehearth
  2. Open the game’s mod folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stonehearth\mods
  3. Delete or move the candledark.smod out of the folder
  4. Relaunch Stonehearth, and start a new game

Please note that when you create a game with a mod installed, you can only use that save when the mod is installed, so you will need to create a new game after you remove Candledark, and will need to reinstall Candledark if you wish to play the linked save again.
