Hmmm FTL looks like Star Command for IOS (released) and Android (not released until) xD Looks great
Other way around Star Command looks like FTL - FTL is far superior at the moment in my opinion. Star Command has a long way to go …
I had a disappointed look at Folk Tale Early release on Steam.
It is very much like SH but with 3D Unity graphics. Very good animations and cutscenes.
But IMO they have released it far too early. I know they need development money but at this stage there is no game as such. For $20 you get the campaign tutorial with no save/load
I must admit it is well done even if you ignore the few bugs that will be fixed soon enough.
You are shown how to build a village and extract the basic resources then you go exploring the wilderness and encounter a number of creatures. There are several adventure sites where you battle the local NPCs. (werewolf monks, goblins, ghosts etc…)
The map is handcrafted by the Devs and they said they are completely changing the map system. Another reason why they released too early.
I am looking forward to their release of the sandbox mode they promised as this game has a good potential to generate interesting stories.
interesting… i hadnt heard of this one before…
i dont see much in the way of a relation to SH though… perhaps it was just the intro video that didnt paint the entire picture… i’ll read more about it when i get back this evening…
Stonehearth
Timber and Stone
Starbound
Cube World
Starbound have announcd they’ve got Logan Cunningham on board to do voice work!
If I had a vague idea on who that is I’m sure I would be excited!
The narrator from Bastion.
i am normally not too terribly impressed with either having voice acting, or the performer… but i loved his work on Bastion… and i only ever played the demo!
its funny how this was so casually mentioned in that update too… the last item they mention in fact…
Haha I know, just a casual sentence at the end as if to say “Oh, by the way”.
Stonehearth,
stonehearth,
errm,
i think i’m missing something.

3.) Cube World (Nicely Made RPG.)
4.) Castle Story (Nice RTS Game, but somewhat dissapointing.)
5.) Timber & Stone (Pretty Good Game.)
6.) Starbound (Nice Lookin’ Game.)
7.) Don’t Starve (Impressive Game on Steam.)
Cube world just released a new homepage for those of you who were curious about that game.
yes sir, we’ve been discussing it here… looks like things are moving along at a more brisk pace now!
So Kerbal Space Program is now on a weekend steam sale… should I get it or not?!? I cant decide o_O
having not played it myself, but having heard from several folks whose gaming opinions i hold in high regard, i would say yes… it’s something like 30% off, correct? if you enjoy simulations with a whimsical nature, this is a no-brainer…
