Thanks for your support guys! Really appreciate it =)

Lovely video! Glad you could come up with a story to bring the game to life. Great job matching up the epic music with the combats.

Thanks for the encouragement @sdee! I am flattered. While it is technically quite simple to match the epic music with the combat, I DID feel quite proud about it when I watched it in action (I know I know, clearly it doesnt take much to make me proud)… in fact I am ashamed to admit I actually had a goosebump moment when watching that part of the video… :stuck_out_tongue:

I enjoyed your video as well. Those goosebumps you speak of is exactly why I went into audio as a profession. It’s amazing what the right music can do married to the right visuals. Keep up the good work!

I know right! Music really adds soul to the game, and make the moment/action “pop out”. Even the simple sounds like the satisfying “clonk” of my villager’s wooden sword blocking an attack makes me feel good.

I like the cheerful music that we have for Stonehearth at the moment. It goes well with the overall cute appearance of the game. It also makes the infrequent bugs less frustrating when you are waiting for the reloading (or less “infrequent” if you are trying to build a large house… arrgghh! I must persist with building, must persist…)

Although it felt odd with the happy music playing while the following happened to my villagers:

But I am sure you will have some chair-gripping combat music for us in due time

I keep finding myself humming it actually. Very… not catchy, but definitely memorable  .

The music definitely does not fit for when you get attacked by hordes or goblins, or skellies, you’re right  It’s pretty silly at the moment. But you’re right, we’ll have some fitting combat music in the game as soon as we can to make combat feel as good as it current looks.

@Doug Can’t wait, I am sure your combat music will be epic! Team radiant has yet to disappoint.

@Teleros haha i think it is somewhat catchy; and certainly very memorable - especially after long hours of playing (trying to to build a large house while fighting through frame-freezing lag for hours = spending a lot of time listening to game music with stonehearth running in the background while doing other things)

I am not sure if I will finish this “castle” before Alpha 6 comes out (at which point I can probably build this in a day because the lag issue will probably have been fixed)… to persist or to wait for Alpha 6… hmm…

Hi guys, thought I would put up a compilation of the combat scenes with fights involving my villagers against various different enemies/monsters.

And henceforth the bravery of the villagers of Chumpyland is formally documented and witnessed by all.

Let it be known that the Chumps have fought fiercely and will continue to do so against the onslaught of enemies. Come What May.

Thanks for watching =) Feedbacks are welcome and appreciated!

Thanks for the kind words guys!! Really appreciate it
My day is also now complete @SteveAdamo

@Ghost: main mods - “Candledark” mod by team Radiant, “Why So Blue” mod by @Froggy, and “Nihonjin” mod by @Avairian

@Unatan2: Yes the zombies are from “Why So Blue?”; the “little ninjas” I assume you are referring to the “Tanukis” (Japanese Raccoon Dogs) from Nihonjin mod

Wow, thanks for the quick reply! Could you run all the mods at once? (I figure you can’t because of the different stonehearth versions needed)
'nother qeustion! What software did you use to capture the video?

I don’t belive I have an Alpa 5 compatible version out for Nihonjin so probably not. The tanuki override the goblins so technically it’d work with Candledark if they shared the same version. I’m not sure how Why So Blue handles zombies so I can’t really answer that…

your right if you look closely then you will see that all the towns look different and the people are all different as well

Hi @Ghost, unfortunately currently you can’t run all the mods at once yet, but hopefully that day will be upon us soon (*wink team Radiant and modders). As @blackArcher52 pointed out, this is my compilation through different gameplays with different villager groups.

But the spirit of Chumpyland transcends time and space…and mod! (Inserts various roar/rawr sounds)

I use Shadowplay to capture the video

@Avairian actually your mod IS compatible with alpha 5 - my gameplay footage are with

Click here to read more your mod on alpha 5. Plenty of rice and bamboo!

Well mostly compatible… I can’t seem to make a shoji door, so maybe that’s where the incompatiblity is.

One of my favourite is this guy, he totally looks like a Japanese samurai (after upgrading outfit)

And unfortunately the zombies at “Why so blue” overrides goblins too =(

Bytheway does anyone know how to “hide” bits of my post - ie. My previous reply had pictures so takes up a bit of space. Can you make it such that the post would be short, with a bit that people have to click on to expand (ie. “Click here to read more”)?

Also if you enjoyed my video (or at least didnt hate it… :stuck_out_tongue:), please consider leaving a like at my youtube video page, it looks a bit lonely with zero likes… :violin: Thank you!
