Uniform military uniforms

Is anyone else bothered by their ragtag band of soldiers? I find myself wishing there was an easy way to try and standardize the look for my soldiers, without having to micro-manage town production/inventory. Would be very nice if you could set the gear used by each squad, or even combat class. (sigh, yes just like in Dwarf Fortress) Though it’s really much more for the aesthetics in my case than combat effectiveness. I’d have my soldiers all wearing lower level gear if I liked the look of it more!
