Toggle Full Screen On/Off & Fix for resolution problems

  • In order to play the game in full screen mode you need to have a program that can read the .JSON file extension. (open with notepad)

Go to the file that has Stonehearth.exe (Application). Open the file stonehearth.json. Where it says

“enable_fullscreen” : false,

Change false to true and then open the .exe file.

  • Changing your ingame resolution:

Go to the file that has Stonehearth.exe (Application). Open the file stonehearth.json. Where it says

“screen_width” : XXXX,
“screen_height” : XXXX,

Change it to your resolution, This should change the ingame resolution. Then open the .exe file.

NOTE: You have to open the .exe file from the folder. Steam will not recognize the change in the .JSON file.

Very nice @jesketimothy, and if anyone wants to see this done as a tutorial (as I know some people do prefer), then head to the latest stream and at around 44:50 he begins to talk about changing shadows but leads into talking about how to do this.

Thank you very much.

Now I can see a bit of weapon crafting.

For Steam users:

You should create a new thread and pin it with the rest of them.

thanks! tossed this one in the workaround thread… :+1:

This still does not fix the UI overlapping and resolution issues i’m experiencing.

It won’t until the team fix the resolution issue.

For me this workaround improves things slightly, but isn’t a complete remedy.

Are you now able to use the full carpenter window? I still can’t.

No unfortunately not  but I don’t think Radiant have pushed any update to tackle the problem.
