I’ve got a shepherd who’s being followed by a sheep and a poyo, but he never takes them to their pastures. I’ve tried fencing in the pastures too, and he doesn’t change his behavior-- he never stores them.
is it one sheep and one poyo? I think they wait until they have two of one animal type before bringing them back to the pastures. has the shepherd had the poyo and sheep following for an in-game day or two?
Maybe i missunderstood, but you must fence the pasture.
A shepherd will take animals to an unfenced pasture, they’ll just immediately leave. This may be a variation of the “stuck worker” or “idle worker” bug, where certain “Tasks” just never get done after a certain point where the game starts requiring too much work from the hearthling AI.
I had a shepherd wander across the map with two (2) poyos, one (1) rabbit, and one (1) sheep following it; half of which were hungry/starved. After what seemed like forever, the shepherd finally returned the animals to their pastures. No animals (I think) were harmed in the process.
I guesstimate this took a few in-game days as I saw him eat and sleep several times, though I can’t be certain. So, perhaps wait a bit longer? It is very strange behaviour.
Yes, one sheep and one poyo. After 3 days (one of which the shepherd even slept on the top of a ladder with the sheep and poyo on the cliff next to him), I posted the bug report.
The same is by me too.
But before I placed fence around the pastures follow all animals (more than 3 poyos / 2 sheep’s / 3 or 4 rabbits) Thats looks not good as the shepherd was sleeping. With round 10 animals around of them.
Here 2 picture with fence:
