Anyway, if you want to, Steve, you can play with moiself. We just managed to make a Metalworks Station, which means that we should be able to go to more sectors of the galaxy soon!

@Alfie The game just updated again, so you’ll need to update the server. In fact, I would check for an update basically every night and every day, just to be sure. They have been releasing these things very quickly, and I would think that they will continue to do so.

Well, Sir Steve, I think that most of us are unable to play due to the fact that our client versions don’t match the server version anymore… so, with that in mind, the best I can offer you is a private server?
Random question: How does one set up a server, what goes into this?
My current knowledge puts it somewhere like an always-on LAN setting where my computer acts as the host (if I set up the “Roughshod” server, for example), and then you all could access it and play multiplayer.
How is the reality different from this, and how does one set up a persistent open server?
throw in some port-forwarding, and i think you’re on the right track… but it makes your machine pretty vulnerable, so i wouldnt openly publish the details… 
so im on board - but im on a world with lots of eyes - trees with eyes, bushes with eyes, monstes with eyes -.- THEY ALL LOOKING AT MEEEEE AHHHHH ^^ Is there somewhere too?
well, with the recent patch, its a bit more difficult to randomly explore the universe (fuel being a bit harder to come by)…
but you can literally circumvent an entire planet, so my advice? just leave a marker where you land, and head out in one direction… explore in the same direction (hopefully locating NPCs, or spaceships, etc.) until you come back around the planet to your starting position…

I keep getting errors every time I try to join, Am I doing something wrong?

Edit [3]: Nope. Not working. I’ll restart the server and try again.
When I try to join it says no server response recieved…
That is exactly what I’m getting. I’m blaming v. Frustrated Koala. That update broke it… again!

I’m afraid I can’t do that. My server is hosted with a server host, so ‘making a new server’ would involve me purchasing a new one, which I am not doing! I’ll uninstall Starbound from the server, and re-install it.

I imagine that’ll probably resolve the issues - it’s probably a case of having to update the server files each time or something …
