[Res] Game crashing on startup (wrong enable 64bit option)

Hi again,

Okay, that is a relief to know because I was to say that my laptop doesn’t have the SP 1. Anyway, I just updated my desktop earlier today and the laptop yesterday so I have no idea what’s going on.

The problem with that is that my user_settings.json only has this line

{
“user_id” : “51858754-fc1f-11e4-8696-00ac52b128be”
}

And nothing else…

well that might partially have to do with the fact that it isnt running… try doing a clean install of Stonehearth

Alrighty, will try that and let you guys know the result

Nope, didn’t work. The game is not even launching. It’s like, as soon as I double click it to run the game, instantly crashes.

oh also, are you currently trying to run it through the steam or Humble Bundle version?

I had the same problem as Gir/starfox707, I now have to wait 22 hours to reply again, so I just logged in with twitter, it’s fine.

I tried to run it through Steam and using the Humble Bundle version, same problem in both.

right, but after the clean install what version did you try?

Argh my posts keep getting auto flagged… I tried to say that I can only post in 22 hours in the BlackRaven account. I’m using this one now.

Anyway, I tried to run the game through Steam and using the Humble Bundle version but I have the same problem in both…

Sorry, didn’t realise you could see the messages >.> but I keep getting auto flagged.
Anyway, I tried both after the clean install, thats what I wanted to say.

its rather annoying, and for some reason all the mods have disappeared of the face of the earth :confused:

okay, so after the clean install you tried both, try removing one of the versions and then try running the game, as sometimes having multiple downloads can cause problems.

Yes it is and I kinda spammed you thinking you couldn’t see my messages because they were flagged…

I just uninstalled the Steam version and I it keeps crashing on me.

It’s okay if you can’t help more, I understand :smile:

ell theres this handydandy button “show hidden content”… :wink:
by uninstall, do you mean you used the “delete local content” feture, or actually manually uninstalled the game?
i think i may have used up all my knowledge on this :stuck_out_tongue:

when the mods come back, from wherever they went, im sure they could be of more help :smile:

Didn’t know that lol

Deleting local content and then manually removing the remaining files.

It’s okay, thanks anyway :smile: In the meantime, I still have my laptop which runs the game just fine so it’s okay

An update to everyone involved:

I managed to get the game working. It was a problem with the 64-bit. I changed the “enable 64-bit” to false in the user_setting.json and voilá! It works now!

Thank you to everyone that helped out, I hope that this solution will work for everyone else having this problem! I’m ecstatic right now and am off to go play a bit! Thanks again! :smile:
