[R118] Building Bugs and z fighting in build mode

Title:
Z fighting in houses and wall bugs. Building spacing.

Summary:
So i have been able to reproduce this several times. I figured out that when building two houses they have to be a minimum of 4 spaces apart (floor to floor). At 3 or less they cant build the scaffolds therefore they wont complete the house, Workers will continue to work elsewhere.

Also the roof overlaps causing the good old z-fighting.

Second picture there is zfighting on the bottom block where the 2 roofs join.

a lot of zfighting after trying to add a separate inside wall

When building the outside auto walls no problems. But when I try to divide the space by using the draw your own wall tool it wont let me place a wall inside the building only outside.

Stuck objects after cancelling building.

After deleting this. (z fighting present)

Steps to reproduce:
Build some houses at 5 to 2 or 3 spaces apart and see.
Place outside wall and then try to draw more walls inside your building.

Expected Results:
At 5 and 4 spaces i would expect nothing because those spaces work fine for building. At anything below 4 spaces the game should not let us build the floors. Perhaps change the floor blocks to red to show that the chosen location is not adequate.

I would expect to be able to draw additional walls inside my buildings in order to break up the space and create more rooms.

Remarkably detailed bug report, but wouldn’t this fit better into the bug report section?

Found another bug related to building. Basically when they place the windows they build the ladder outside and then place the window from the inside rendering the ladder useless.

Also the roof is floating on the flat view of buildings

So really i would excpect them to use the ladder to place the windows but it seems when windows are that low to the ground they can use the inside floor as a ladder because of the extra height.

Also i get this error on new days.

Just to add to this… you can’t build next to cliffs. I had 1 space between the cliff and my wall and they would not build it higher than 2 blocks. Scaffolding went up and was abandoned

You CAN however build next to flowers. Haven’t tried it with berry bushes, trees, or stones, though.

They wont build next to berry bushes.

Nor trees… I also tried making a β€œdoughnut” shaped building… 9x9 building with a 3x3 hole in the middle of the floor. They wouldn’t build a pillar in the middle. They put up the 4 corners and left the middle after 2 blocks.
