Question regarding happing of events during game

Situation:
I play on hard mode.
Town has a net worth of 7020.

Now question is … I didnt get any events like ogre, goblin chief , undead,… only the town quest.
Does somebody know what the reason is behind it. I thought the net worth triggerd some events?

I have build up my place not in the open but on a plateau
(maybe that is a reason that goblins cant reach my place, but i tried building ladders so they can come but nothing happend)

I also play with couple of mods. Maybe that can be the reason no events happens?

Is there somebody experience with that kind of things?

Wasn’t there also a way to trigger those events yourself by the using the console?
If somebody else has suggestions, all help welcome

Thnks for reading !

See that mod called “debug tools”? Turn it on, then load your game. Once loaded, click on the little book-looking thing It should pop up a window with a bunch of circles in it. Post a picture of that, if you would.

Hi thelegorebel.

Thnks for the help.
Here is the picture.

Sounds alot like the situation i found myself in yesterday… @moderators Anyone knows what is causing this? :merry:

Hello, @Opperwezen.

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble. I’ll try to help however I can.

We need a few more pieces of information from you before we can investigate:

– A copy of your save game (instructions below):

  1. Find the save folder for the saves you wish to upload. By default, they are located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stonehearth\saved_games (assuming a default Steam install).
  2. Zip the folder.
  3. Right click the folder (should be a long set of numbers).
  4. Left click on Send to in the menu that appears.
  5. Left click on `Compressed (Zipped) folder).
  6. (Optional) Rename the folder to something different than the default set of numbers.
  7. Upload the save.
  8. If the zip is less than 10 MB, you can upload it directly. Either use the upload button or drag and drop it into the compose window,
  9. If larger than 10 MB, upload it to a cloud storage site like Dropbox, Google Drive, File Dropper, etc. and post the sharing link here.

– A copy of your stonehearth.log file from immediately after playing the game where you experience this happening. This is in a similar file location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stonehearth\

– Finally, a list of mods you are running.

Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional help to find any of the above.

Thanks!
Bob

Thanks for the extra information. It seems your stonehearthlog.rar file contains stonehearth.json and not stonehearth.log.

Can you upload just the stonehearth.log file itself?

Ow my bad. The Json looked like a logbook…
Hopefully this is right?

stonehearth.log (35.9 KB)

I think its becaus the enemy has no clear path to my camp.
But i dont know for sure

One thing you could do while we await feedback from the dev team:

  1. Make sure Stonehearth isn’t running.
  2. Back up your save game.
  3. Disable all mods.
  4. Fire up Stonehearth
  5. Load up the save game and see if it behaves any differently.
  6. Re-enable your mods.
  7. Shut down Stonehearth
  8. Restore your save from backup via simple ‘overwrite’ file copy
  9. Relaunch Stonehearth and just confirm your save game is back where you started

That would at least rule out (or point to) mod involvement.

I reproduced these steps.
Loading it without the mods -> 63 engin errors.
After enabling the mods again. No errors at all.
Put when i was playing without mods… no event happend…

btw Megashub, thnks for all the help

Starting a new game with same mods. But now i wont digg myself in and block all paths to my villagers
Maybe that was the problem

If there is no way for monsters to path to your town, the campaigns will not spawn. If you’d like to be protected but still allow for this, consider putting down a door that is well defended, or a ladder you can take up or pull down as necessary.

@sdee – Perhaps @Opperwezen needs to wait a while after placing the ladder or door before the campaign will trigger?

Yes, and it still depends on many things. The code that searches for a location to spawn the monsters will search several points around your town to spawn them. If they can’t reach the town from any of those points, it will fail, and retry later (the next in-game day, or whatever is specified in the code). So depending on the encounter, they might also need a certain space and a certain distance in order to be able to spawn (for example the goblin camp).
