Found some interesting quirks in pathfinding with ladders where hearthlings would try to take the shortest path to a give spot (passing up the ladder that would allow them to reach the right level) and then suddenly turn back to the ladder.
I’m at work now so i’ll supply a picture to explain what I mean when I can…probably tomorrow morning. Just wanted to get it noted here for now.
Have encountered the same thing, I end up putting 5-6 ladders in various places on a ledge because sometimes hearthlings will pick different ones to go to.
Ok so here’s the attachment. The yellow path is a path to an item and the blue is a path to mining…you can see they try to take a direct route when they get to the second level then double back to the ladder that gets them up to the third ladder. Not game breaking by any means!
