Pandemic's Art and Modding Corner! Bringing Pretty Back since 2017!

So, it’s been a week. Sorry for the lack of updates but I think it’s time to give you guys something.

UPDATE:

The Graveyard and the one I was previewing last update are cancelled. I just don’t have the inspiration or want to work on them, they’ve just become stale and I don’t like them. That being said I do have some I will be finishing! Right here!

I wanted to do a library for a long time and I finally found the time to do one. The FLoor is placeholder, I will actually have a floor. Thats all I got for now, but more updates will come tomorrow

Wow it is beautiful.

UPDATE:

Progress is being made, really liking this one. I’ve applied a number of challenges to myself this time around. I apologize for the graininess of the image, early renders of light does that…

<img src="//cdck-file-uploads-us1.s3.dualstack.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/flex022/uploads/stonehearth/original/3X/f/6/f690c62d4d2759779d584d01b9666dca349ea3f6.png" width=“690” height="388

So, this scene is entirely lit by candle light. I’m gonna add some books on the tables and floor in stacks. Of course people will be in it like the Cook (Gotta learn new stuff right?)

Added proper floor, custom candles, tables, chairs and shiny carpet. Extended bookshelves to the right so the door wouldn’t be so out of the blue.

In the next update, I’m going to update you on the lore of the renders/series! With Biomes coming soon, I feel it’s a perfect time for the lore I’ve been working on, it’ll explain how I plan to make Biomes and New Areas like the Main city (which in game is about 1/2 of a playworld) and severaly other places can exsist within one story. It’s not what you think.

Man 3 posts in a row… you guys are getting quiet.

So, today I’m gonna drop some series lore hints in a form of revealing a portion of the next render and some texts.

Someone who explores the discourse will know what this is. Along with my new mascot model :stuck_out_tongue: . As of today the Library is slated for a Monday Release for you guys so you can hopefully look forward to that.

The Lore for the series is heavily based on Magic. It explains why the worlds just suddenly fall and don’t continue as well, and why Titans exsist and arrive how they do.

That doesn’t seem like much but I promise it’ll be great.

EDIT: OH SHOOT! I messed up! You might not see a release on Monday or Sunday if you’re a Patreon due to it being my Birthday (Gonna be 22… yay). So If you don’t see it don’t be surprised!

The renders are coming along great. Also, are we going to see some apprenticed mages in the library? And possibly some kind of grumpy old librarian?

It’s a public library with basic knowledge in it. Once I reveal more to the story I’ll be doing one called “The Lorekeeper’s Tower” which’ll be magic based.

Okay. No mages. But what about the grumpy old librarian?

We’ll see if I can squeeze a mage in there… if I can find the time to model on together or someone has a model for it… Grumpy old dude? Possible. We’ll see how time shapes out.

IDK if they send out notifications on edits so I’ll put it here too. Release on Monday might not happen due to it being my 22md Birthday, so either a joint release of Tuesday or a Wednesday for public

they dont send notifications.

Hi Pandemic

Great stuff here!

I don’t know if you’re aware, I’m working on a Mod Manager for stonehearth to simplify the process of installing mods etc, it’s very early on but I’d appreciate your input any advice or requirements you’ve experienced in your work would help, please feel free to pm me with any suggestion or look at my topic here on the discourse, also I don’t know if you have a list of download urls for your mods so I can add them to my program for testing?

So, I have finished 100% the Library one. Sadly I couldn’t fit as much as I wanted in… no mages (Sorry @Sandwitch)

It’ll be released at some pint in the near future so time to reveal my new big project! @Beatrice s Laketown! Currently one of the only builds I’m following every post for, I love the look of it, the style and the cheer amount of work going into it. So, I asked if I could make it a render!

Here’s my progress!

Soon I’ll be doing a next lighting pass and first detail pass (Doors, Windows and Trees) Let me know what you think! Should I do more community focused projects? If so which ones should be included and why?

Wow @Beatrice you should be extremely honored. @Pandemic rendering your build is just about the highest complement you can get.

Btw. I left out a very important detail. I had to shrink the models to 1/50th original size to get the look and detail I’m going for.

Lake town has some opportunities for some not-in-the-game-yet-but-since-I’m-Pandemic-I’ll-do-it-anyway objects! Like, for example, fish, watermills, and fishing rods. Fish I tell you. FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

This is officially a thing. I like this a lot.

Fish, Maybe. The water might be too reflective to show them but i’ll attempt. Watermills are possible and Fishing Rods I like,

Here’s a list of Not-in-the-game-yet-but-since-I’m-Pandemic-I’ll-do-it-anyway objects:

  • That weird-crossbow thingy in front of the trapper’s house.
  • Bluebirds. (They aren’t being added anytime soon!)
  • Back later signs and market stalls
  • Small golden chest
  • manequins
  • wagons
  • boats
  • oars
  • docks
  • stairs+decks.
  • mine carts and mine cart rails.
  • Scarecrows
  • torches
  • decorative skulls.

Welp, that’s all I could find for now, but please, feel free to add more!

I wouldn’t mind seeing a fish-pike or two in the shot, if its at all possible.
