Right, simple to descriobe problem:
i have made honey a food.
this food works nicely for hearthlings. bees make it, hearthlings grab a jar and eat the smaller serving.
PROBLEM:
the critters WONT eat the serving. they stare at it longingly till they starve.
question: what the hell did i do wrong?honey.zip (11.2 KB)
ive been looking at it for days but just cant find the flaw
All the extra farming and recipes in the cafe mod do not really appeal to me. I would like to see honey for making meed. Also I would like the meed to affect moral instead of hunger.
That tag is for pasture animals, I think.
The rest of pets (raccoons, foxes, etc) just use the diet parameter to search in the material tags of the food.
normal carots etc. also dont have this, so thats not it. (im talking random fluffy critters, not usefull ones like sheep. they probably look for that specific tag and dont start stealing normal hearthling food.
this is why im confused, because i thought if a hearthling would eat it: the bunbuns and foxes would eat it. seems not though.
I think your honey (not the serving) has a “food” material tag that doesn’t seem to be used in other food files (as in, just “food” is used only in the servings files).
But I have no idea if that is the cause of the problem. Did you try using the exact same material tags than other food baskets / servings files (to discard that your tags might be the issue)?
