Thanks ! I really like to help you but as what I am capable of so far, all I can do right now is to model and re-paints . I am still studying code, but from what I know, you can have your custom uniforms by using existing ones as templates and edit them with a voxel editor program (I’m using MagicaVoxel and VoxelShop). Along with a couple of .json and manifest changes. As for a custom guards, I’m really not sure. It is possible but, I am not confident enough to give instructions . You can ask others for help though, as they are all willing and happy to help out. I hope that helps you even a little .
Thanks for your help and reply . Do you know where I can find the files for the models so I can open and edit them in Voxel? I’ve searched through the game folder but couldn’t find them, or am I being stupid here?
If you’re looking for models, you can search in stonehearth.smod located in the mods folder. Just change the “.smod” with “.zip”. It will give you a warning but don’t worry . Most of the models/ “.qb files” in use are located in the entities folder, but you can dig deeper and explore for yourself. Have fun and good luck !
Wow, very nice, I really like the shiny glint on its forehead : ). It’s super adorable, and the key is a really great touch. I don’t really have a preference on color - they all look pretty cute, and I just like the idea of having different grades of metal automatons.
The only critique I would give would be to suggest putting some more of the copper color from the key and the ear/gear into more of the body somewhere. Maybe make the silver belt buckle copper, or maybe add little one voxel ‘bolts’ to places like the ankles or something. Just to spread the coloring around and encapsulate a color scheme (any of the color schemes).
I think the brass one fits the best, but all the metal one look good as well (could be upgrades). The original and tomato red could be versions of the automation overheating (kind of like having charges, and heating up, then needing a cool down period)
Thank you for the suggestions . I’ll see what I can do with the copper applied to the current color scheme. Though I have faced difficulty in placing voxel “bolts” on the model. I kind of don’t know where to place them …
