[MOD? ]Various Races and Creation menu

So i have a very rough start to an elf i was thinking maybe making them taller and having bigger ears, i dont know how to get a picture of it to show you guys so its just gonna be like that i will try and figure it out to show you guys how its going but i am going to start on a female soon

Hey there @Thepuma, I have never used VoxelShop, but most likely there is an option to “export” your model as a image (like png), or “render” your model. If you cannot find those options, you can use something like “Snipping Tool” (built in to Windows since Vista) to take a picture of the model.

heyho ^^

not saving (vsd) - you must export them as qb uncompremmised

Yep I figured it out after I posted it I have the elf mostly done just fixing up colors and making it a bit taller. Hopefully I get time tomorrow but if not it won’t be done until Thursday.

Unfortunately we will have to wait until Thursday as I have a busy week, good news though I do have it done. Also if anyone gets ideas for other races please just ask and once I get time I will try and add them!

Hey I was reading this and got interested in modding the game and possibly creating like a evil faction of the human races but just darker and scarier. Ive never modded before so I don’t know much but am trying to learn. I downloaded the startermod and it says that to make sure the file is called, for example, “mod name” and not “mod name”_Master. I unzipped the mod into the mod directory within StoneHearth but the file name still had master in it. Do I just rename it or did I do something wrong?

just rename it, so it doesnt have the -master part in the name :slightly_smiling:

Sweet. Keep up the good work. Are you going to make their own armors and weapons?

Sooo… another dumb question. I’m still debating between qubicle or voxel shop. I however just cannot figure out how to import an existing file to edit it from stonehearth. I go to import a file but its like they disappear but if I look at my local file through the pc itself I can see them. I have WinRAR but I’m not sure how to use it so that I can import them into either qubicle or voxelshop. Help… lol

so is there anyway to implement your own created faction into the game or would I have to add the mod into one of the existing factions?

there is definitely a way, cant say i know how, but there is a way

i’m going to page @Drotten our modding support, and @Avairian (because of Nihonjin), for thisone.

thanks  I’m pretty excited to start really testing this.

Your best bet would be to create your own mod that adds a new faction, and the best way to learn how to do this is to study the rayyas_children mod, as it does pretty much all that you’re asking for (and a bit more).

To get started with searching through the mod, just rename the mod so it’s a zip file and extract its contents. In there you’ll find everything that the mod brings to the game. Mostly all you have to do is copy the files from the mentioned mod and change the values found in them, but a good idea is to get some grip on how Json works, since that’s the kind of file you’ll be using.

For other information on how to mod, you can easily search around the discourse as it’s been discussed here and there. :slightly_smiling:
And of course, if you feel you’re stuck at something you can always ask! :+1:
