[Mod] (A15) Armory Expansion V1.3

No error message, the crafting menu was just stuck on one item in the detail view. While other options were visible and the menu was scrollable, clicking on them did nothing. New games and loaded saves both ran into this, but I only tried desert villages (and thus it was always the Potter’s menu) since they’re usually where mods run into trouble.

Same problem here except in the carpenters menu for the forest… The menu is stuck on the “frostsnap window box.” I also encountered the same problem with the bastioneers on an archipelago map. The “wall mounted foxfire lantern” is the item the masons menu is stuck on. I didn’t emcoumter these problems until I updated to Alpha 15. Absolutely fantastic mod though haha, can’t wait until the mod and the game can co-exist seamlessly!

Did you still need help fixing models for this mod?

just realized that stuff has changed in the armor files recently, plus we got new armor types, so this mod probably isnt compatible with A14 anymore…

i’ll see if i can get the time to update it…

do you have something other then VoxelShop? if not, then i’ll spare you the torture

heyho crabby  there is an issue with your mod … when i add it it blocks the crafterui …

yep, already reported earlier… still haven’t gotten around to looking at the mod yet…

(i’ve been playing too much Stardew Valley xD)

yep, its definitely the randomized crafting script, as my “more crates” mod also has this problem, and it uses the same script…

but i might just have to let these mods die, as i know nothing about those scripts… either that or i could bug @Drotten and get him to re-write them for me

or you remove it and make it own entities ^^ like i have mentioned in the first threads  or you change the recipes so that your armor are the “fine” items … i think this would be the best way ^^

while i could do that, if this mod ever became/becomes what it was intended, that would be over 3 recipes for each piece and type of armor (3 styles/recipe’s of leather helmets, 3 styles/recipe’s of bronze helmets, etc.) which would very easily and quickly overcrowd the crafting UI, imo at least…

while i could also do that, then my armor variants wouldn’t have an equal chance of being crafted, which was one of the goals of the mod, plus that could potentially cause problems when i got to my second variants…

well i debated with myself about the best way to go about this for something like 2-3 weeks before i even PM’d Drotten asking about randomized crafting and all that.

and before i started work on this mod i had already over thought it, one of the risks i knew i would have was a game update breaking the mod, thats just part of modding a game thats in alpha.

all in all, i think i’m just gonna let the mod die for now, seeing as i dont have as much free time as i did when i started work on it…

if you have any other questions feel free to ask

edit: also, sorry if none of that makes any sense, extremely tired right now… should probably have a coffee, or maybe just head to bed…

I think the issue is related to my own smart crafter mod, are you using it as well, @8BitCrab or @Wiese2007?

If you are, then it’ll help me greatly in fixing it (as I know where the problem lies). Otherwise it might take me a while to find the issue, but I’ll look into it nonetheless.

no i havent started using it yet…

but like i said, the problem from my mods is most likely something related to the randomized crafting script, as “armory expansion” and “more crates” both have the problem, and they both use the script…

if i get time i’ll try removing the script just to double check thats actually the problem.

I don’t know if this is part of your plan or not, but can I request an addition to your Armory?
My latest build was a Dwarf Fortress-like mountain… fortress. And I had a room that was literally an armory.
Problem was I didn’t have much to put in it other than my Blacksmith stuff, some beds, tables, chairs.
Any chance you can add some decorative items the Blacksmith makes, like Weapon Rack, Armor Rack?

this mods focus was purely on the armor itself, however i did make some armor rack and weapon rack models awhile back… and while i never put them into a mod, i believe @Spiro did create his own versions which made it into his container mod…

heyho yes i use it ^^ but i have tested all mods and this happens when armory expansion and crates are installed (with and without your mod ;))

Thanks for the confirmation. The problem has already been located though, just waiting for the confirmation of the fix and an update to the mod.

update

being as awesome as he is, Dotten PM’d me with a new and improved (aka, fixed) version of the script. when i get the time later i’ll definitely be updating and testing the mod with the new script version, if all goes well with the tests then i’ll release the fixed version.

i’ll also be trying to get all the other armor versions (padded, leather, etc) completed and added to the mod soon. along with trying to fix the armor models…

edit: oh, i see @Drotten ninja’d me… :stuck_out_tongue:

##V1.3

whats new

  • new random crafting script (thanks Drotten  )
  • fixed ilevel’s, gold value, and other info of all the items

known issues

  • armor is still messed up

not sure if this version works with A14, but all my testing on A15 seemed to be good. still need to fix the armor models, but i wanted to get a fixed release out, i actually meant to release this last night but discovered there had been some changes to ilevels of all the items.

i will be adding this to PraiseDB and StonehearthMods.co once i get the fix for the armor.

next up i’ll be working on a fix for the armor issues, once i get those fixed i plan on working on the helmets and other armor types.
