So I’m at day 4 right now of a new game. Goblin camp spawned and wanted some wood, promoted a farmer to trapper and set up some trapping zones. Here’s a couple of pics.
System specs are… well let’s just say this little laptop was never built to play tetris.
Settings are as low as possible, no shadow, 50 lights, and only 500 draw distance. Running on 64 bit, probs should be doing it on 32, but, eh, wanted to see if I could play the game on 64.
Uh… recently some people that got crashes couldn’t run the 64bit on their 64bit machines, but had no problems with 32bit version so had to play in 32bit version. Devs have done a lot of research of these crashes so there might be a solution.
Not trying to necro an old thread, but I didn’t see any solution/reason for this and it’s what’s happening to me, and it’s very frustrating.
My first building has taken over an hour to complete. There is not a bit of slowdown in rendering or sound (I can move the camera around freely without a hitch, and the sound is fine), but the hearthlings are extraordinarily sluggish. As you can see, the LUA (running the scripts that control everything? IDK) is at 99.8%. I’m on my third in-game day. I checked my system’s task manager and SH is using about 30% CPU and around 1GB of RAM. Just wondering if anyone has any idea if there is anything being done about this (if it’s considered a problem. I do since my first building is taking forever to build) or if there is anything I can do besides console commands (that doesn’t really help as I’d like to play as intended to actually report play issues).
What i found might help as well and its a little odd. But When i saw lua was extremely high most of my workers were sitting around the fire pit. and i had them move the fire pit after that it cleared everything up. I hope that helps even slightly. But yea it sounds like the program has a hard time when u do a custom building.
