Hello!
Been trying out last update in peaceful mode and I like what I see.
Been having some issues but those have already been mentioned.
Now to my suggestions:
I have noticed that the sunlight reach into the cave systems you create by mining which in my point of view just feels wrong. I would suggest that sunlight should not reach into mining areas if they arent directly reached by sunlight.
Would rather that you add the need of making torches that miners pick up a certain amount of before going down to mine and that they place them by themselves on places where they havent been asked to mine. When asked to mine on those places they should take down the torches from those walls/floors.
Would like to see that light sources which is put up by the hearthlings IE lamps have a limited source of fuel. At the moment you do not need to build new ones nor need to refuel existing ones. Would be nice to see it implemented.
In my opinion its a greate mistake to add fuel for lights or a limited lifetime in my little settlement with only 20 people and a small area i already use over 400 Lamps it would be no fun to replace them at a certain amout of time. All I would do is replace or refile and I already have problems that i cant collect all the sutff i mine fast enough to produce what i want to produce.
Could be set so the citizens themselves manage the replacement or refueling?
So you do not need to do it manually?
IE - You have already once put a lightsource to a certain place. When low on fuel the citizen create a new lightsource, same as the one already in place automatically. So you will not need to bother about more than you make sure you actually can afford the running cost of what you create.
In fact I would also like to see that houses and everything else have a limited lifespann before they need to be repaired or replaced. =) But thats just me
Yes, one settler will have alot of work refilling them. But I think there should be some kind of running cost for what you build since you can get hold of alot of the basic resources pretty easy…
Hey there @Ett_tingest and @aSensnmann, welcome to the Discourse! I am torn on the idea of needing fuel for lights. On one hand, it adds realism to the game, on the other hand, it adds a lot of extra work for the Hearthlings, and I am cannot think of any games similar to SH that have this type of mechanic.
The issue you bring up here has come up before…I am trying to find the post… Here it is:
