Rogue Wizards officially backed… Something about this really captured my attention and someone who loves dungeon crawlers, tile based maps, and roguelike elements… I honestly couldn’t say no.
So @SteveAdamo if I hate this game I’m going to take it out on you ! Seriously though given the gameplay footage available on youtube and else where there is a certain polish to this game which is lost in most early access or kickstarter titles… this polish makes me feel comfortable dropping some money.
The added bonus of all this is I’m about to get my first tablet soon so the ability to have this sort of game on the go is very enticing
@colinday - I’m pleased that I was able to contribute in a small way. Just please take a lesson from Crate Entertainment here and keep the community you build informed and try to be at least semi-transparent. If you can do that this game will definitely go quite far. Excellent work.
I can say with absolute confidence that @colinday and his team have things well in hand… I’ve played a good 15-20 hours already (with a limited press build, no less!), and have not had a single crash or bug…
and given the fact that Spellbind have given themselves ample time to deliver the game, it should speak volumes about the level of polish/detail they envision for the title (especially when you consider how rock solid the game already is)…
I have high hopes for this group, and I think you made a sound investment!
hahaha… well, I suppose if i’m being completely honest, I have found four misspellings or grammar issues…
I know, I know… the horror!
but honestly, the press build is so solid/polished, its crazy… granted, when there is considerably more content, having this level of stability will become increasingly more difficult… but as it stands now, man… just lovely!
MAN, I’m so glad this got funded! It was getting a little close to the wire yesterday when I checked but I’m really pleased that you were able to pull it off. Keep up the good work and I’ll see you when you hit the closed beta!
Thanks for all the kind words guys and for backing the project. I was googling during the campaign for Rogue Wizards which is what lead me to this thread. It was through this very thread that I found SteveAdamo, who has been my most active supporter throughout the entire campaign … thanks so much Steve!
I’m glad that you guys can appreciate the polish that’s in the game now … a lot of developers think that polish is something that you do at the end of the project to elevate it, but in reality you always run out of time at the end, and even polish itself needs to be iterated on and refined to make it feel just right. If you’re going to have a polished game, you have to start polishing it very early
I’m looking forward to when the alpha and beta programs are running so that everybody can play and give feedback and ideas to make Rogue Wizards a freaking awesome game.
