Incomplete building

Summary:
Hearthings refuse to finish placing the rest of the furniture in the building. Many hours and many in-game days have passed and there is still one comfy bed yet to be placed completing the building. I don’t know if it only applies to Comfy beds. It might happen with other furniture as well
plus there are is still a ladder that was built when they made the scaffolding. it has yet to be taken down.<img
Steps to reproduce:

  1. Build a building with Comfy beds in the blueprint

Expected Results:
Hearthings to finish placing all the furniture and for it to not take a long time.
Actual Results:
Hearthings have yet to place the final bed. even after many Hours and many in-game days passing by.

It looks like the room is sealed? How they would enter there?

there are stairs in the bottom right corner they can get to it just fine I have seen them sleeping in the beds that are already placed

The build is complete and just needing the beds? Or there is more to it? If so, maybe they want to complete something else first.

Try to add a stair so they can climb to that roof with the scaffolding, maybe that is what they are trying to do first.

It’s complete just need 1 last bed

Can you upload the affected zave so we can take a look?

To upload a save, locate the folder in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stonehearth\saved_games (assuming a default Steam install), zip the individual save’s folder (not the entire saved_games folder), and upload it. If the *.zip is less than 10 MB, feel free to upload it directly to the Discourse. If larger, please upload it to a cloud storage site like Dropbox, Google Drive, File Dropper, etc. and post the sharing link here.

did you figure out why the Hearthlings won’t finish the building? Because I’m still haveing the same problem with the latest version.

@Kodi4444 that savefile you provided is one from a new game, not the one that has the bug.
Do you still have that savefile?

can you show a screenshot of where the bed needs to be placed for it to be finished? usually in a case like this it means that something is in the way. in other cases i’ve experienced like this the game doesn’t realize there is a bed that CAN be placed in storage and requires you to build another one. i have no clue why this happens but i’ve come across it multiple times. build a second bed to see if itll place the new one and tell us what happens after. also like i said show us a screenshot of where the bed needs to go, go into build mode and take a screenshot of that.

i got the same problem here with others stuff than comfy bed. i have the problem with 22 version but not with 21.

this is the save game from the screen shots

I think the building is not complete yet, there’s scaffolding laying around.
First make a ladder where the stuck girl in the roof is. Make it exactly to the block where there’s a ladder going up (making it on a different block won’t allow them to remove that ladder going up):

Then, they will remove the scaffolding from outside automatically.
Then, do the same for the other 3 ladders going up. Here in the picture I told them to undeploy the ladders I placed manually and as you can see they already removed the ladders going up:

Then they will remove the scaffolding that was laying inside, on the room below.

And then, they will finally place the missing bed and lantern.

Chris is working hard on making the hearthlings get less stuck when building. This seems like a problem with dependencies, but as the player you don’t get notified of why the hearthlings stopped building which is bad. Now that we have the topology service it should be easier to fix these things and/or at least notify the player when that happens.

Thanks for the savefile! I will send it to Chris. :slightly_smiling_face:
