Incapacitated Hearthlings

Alpha 21, no mods

After a tough fight with a Stone Golem and minions, my Knight, and eventually Archer, would not get better after being brought to a bed. Even after multiple uses of Rescue and getting tended to, they would not regain health, slowly waiting for the sweet embrace of death.

Very infuriating, especially when you get to the point of goblin camps with wolves, and you lose a level 4 knight and archer.

Welcome to the forum, @Macaroni777

Could you upload the savefile where the Knight/Archer wasn’t healing correctly?

  1. Find the save folder for the saves you wish to upload. By default, they are located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stonehearth\saved_games (assuming a default Steam install).
  2. Zip the folder.
  3. Right click the folder (should be a long set of numbers).
  4. Left click on Send to in the menu that appears.
  5. Left click on `Compressed (Zipped) folder).
  6. (Optional) Rename the folder to something different than the default set of numbers.
  7. Upload the save.
  8. If the zip is less than 10 MB, you can upload it directly. Either use the upload button or drag and drop it into the compose window,
  9. If larger than 10 MB, upload it to a cloud storage site like Dropbox, Google Drive, File Dropper, etc. and post the sharing link here.

Potentially related: Had two Footmen get KO’d on hard mode, and going through the recovery process successfully, and they would not pick up their weapons or armor again after recovering, opting instead for training swords and no armor - even with a stockpile for weapons and armor. Problem persisted after switching jobs back and forth.

You need to loot their armor and weapons with the loot tool. When they fall incapacitated, the items they drop will become neutral, this is to prevent your workers from going into suicide missions when there are still monsters.

Could this be your case?
