@Tiago_alves Each new hearthling your village has increases the inventory cap of your town by 150. Get more hearthlings and the cap will go up! If necesary, sell things for money for more town worh and cook more food using the space freed.
There is a simple solution, donât harvest/make so much crap. You can quite easily have a town with 14 hearthlings and only have one 20x20 storage.
The reason why the limit is there is to help performance, having tens of thousands of items in your town slows stuff down even more. I would expect to see the limit partially lifted when the performance pass is done.
Off-topic, but how on Stonehearth did you actually die via hunger?
Iâm genuinely curious as to how a Town can die due to lack of food when carrot farms can have multiple quick harvests and you can stack vegetable stews indefinitely due to them never rotting.
@tiago_alves Try to get a 15th hearthling. Unless they have changed the system, each hearthling gives you 150 inventory space. 14 hearthlings equal 2100! The 15th one would start increasing it!
The inicial limit of 2100 may be there to give you some space to start. But if you want to go over it you will need at least 15 heartlings. Either that or it is a bug.
But wouldnât getting to that level require not having any food items to begin with? Think about it.
Hitting the inventory limit requires time, and time requires food, therefore he must have somehow run out of food before he filled up his inventory with non-food items.
Or perhaps he accidentally sold all food off and then went on a crafting binge.
Currently thatâs the only explanation I can think of for why anyone would lose Hearthlings to hunger. Farming is presently too easy and productive to ever starve, even with only two Farmers in a Town of 14.
You can only change difficulty when you start a new game, you cannot change difficulty in mid-game. Instead of âhardâ or ânormalâ you can select âpeacefulâ.
