How to survive five days?

Hello,

at night three 2-3 skelettons appear and hurt my fighter.
at night four 6 skelettons appear and kill everyone

What can I do to avoid this ?
Do I have to build walls ?

Use Rally/Town Defence to help your fighter.
And/Or Group up your fighters… I usually make my town have 1 or 2 Entrance points so you can kind of lock yourself in

Town defense will definitely help. Try getting gear for your fighter as soon as possible. Carpenter makes wood shield and mason can make stone mace. Weaver can make armor. That should help in the early stages. After that its all up to the blacksmith, until they bring in the magmasmith(cant wait).

So Far id only need 2 fighters at all. Goblins are not that powerfull yet, neither are wolfs

1-2 footmen are enough for 10 days. Try to make them a good equipment as a wooden shield or armor. It really helps them fighting.

how can i heal them if they are wounded or get bitten ?

You can’t. They have to eat to heal themselves, for the moment.

If your hearthlings are unprepared for battle, you can also reload a previous save. I’ve found that the monster spawning is random, so they will not continue to show up at the same time or same place.

I try to make a brand new save file for every day in game (usually right after the sun comes up) so if something goes really wrong, I can reload it without losing much progress. This helped me with a game where goblins showed up long before I was prepared to fight them. Otherwise, a lot of it is just luck whether you’re ready when they come

hey there @Gawan, welcome to the discourse :slightly_smiling:

the undead shouldn’t be much of a problem in the base game, do you perhaps have candledark installed? thats the only reason i can think of that the undead would be a problem…

@Gawan, to check for Candledark (if you are unsure). Navigate to the mods folder in the game install directory. The default location (assuming Steam) is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stonehearth\mods. In that folder, by default should be 4 files: stonehearth.smod, radiant.smod, rayyas_children.smod, and rayyas_children_ui.smod. If you have any additional files in there, you either have done some tinkering with the files, or installed a mod .

I have a clean and un-modded installation

Its night seven or eight and there are 20 skeletons raiding my village.
My two soldiers are dead after 5 fights …

Well I think you didn’t notice their spawn until they were too many. Each night, don’t hesitate to look around for camps or spawns.

OK, that doesn’t seem right. Skeletons (and zombies) should killed each morning, so you should never see that many on the same night.

If you encounter this again, please save the game when the skeletons are alive, and upload the save here to the Discourse in a bug report. Thanks!

I don’t know if this will help you or not but I scout the entire lowest level of the map by about day 3 (I send my hearthlings to deforest everything in site) and this almost entirely prevents goblins from spawning (maybe a small camp every 4-5 days or so). Also I’ll have visibility on that entire level so normally I will see only one spawn of the skeletons (of 1-3 units).

2+ fighters always help in situations like these, though I’ve never heard of more than 5 undead attacking a town at once… Maybe I’m just lucky :stuck_out_tongue:
