How do you remove spoiled food?

After food sits on the ground or in my storage unit for a while it spoils. How do you get rid of it to free up space?

hey there @Schreck1961,

if it’s in a stockpile (rather than crates) you could use the “destroy tool” on them,


it works the same as the harvest tool, just drag it over the items you want destroyed and they will be marked so, then your hearthlings will come along and auto-destroy it.

but other than that i don’t think there is a way to get rid of it…
