Footman Aggro table bug?

First post here and I know stonehearth has some problems with AI and combat is generally a bit of micromanagement game. But for some reason one of my footmen keeps on wanting to attack a rather large goblin settlement, regardless of his 20hp. I keep moving him away with other features such as “defend spot” or “move to area” but whenever I turn it off he runs off to try and attack it again and again.

What I basically had to do to get this to stop happening was to pause and then toggle Alert Mode after clearing his or his groups attack and defend command.

I tried it but they refused to give up. I discovered that saving and reloading seems to fix it for now at least.
