Favourite Game!?

My two favourites would have to be Red Dead Redemption and Rome Total War, which I am still playing now and very much looking forward to the new one, although disappointingly I am away on holiday on the release date so I will have to wait even longer to play it. Honourable mentions for the rest of the Total War series, Age of Empires (particularly 2) and Civ

Either the Fallout series or Dawn of War Soulstorm. Both are just amazing with endless opportunities for fun.

My favorite games continue to be Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 6, Secret of Mana, and Earthbound. I’ve enjoyed many games since then, but those are the ones that I still go back to and play every few years. I still have the original cartriges for FF6, Mana, and Earthbound though I usually play them by emulation as I don’t have a TV to hook up my SNES.

If i need to say what is my favourite game… is…

Shin megami tensei: Persona 3. I cant explain all my feels for this game… i cried and laught, i think about the life, the friendship and others problems commons on our life. And you need to think about some things because the game was make it for this.

if any of you dont know the game, and cant play it (psp or ps2), you can wait for the movie ^^

here the trailer ^^.

Ah, well, as you said, I wasn’t looking too hard for reasoning, as I wanted to avoid spoilers. I found it funny, though, that even in marginally unrelated places (like videos for the first two games), people felt the need to complain about the ending and left out any specifics. I’m sorry that BioWare manipulated your expectations so much, I wish you could have enjoyed the game as much as I did. *brohug*

it said 11 23 for the release date when is that?

for those 4x fans, Age of Wonders (and the expansions) are on sale at GOG… definitely going to grab this… :+1:

I’d definitely have to go with Fallout 3, having clocked up about 1500 hours on that game. Though some runner ups would have to be Mount & Blade, Civ V and Minecraft.

How do you play DF? When I played, the graphics and keyboard controls baffled me. I don’t get the game.

its pretty complicated, and i was a little too intimidated to get very far…

here’s a few helpful links that may prove useful however… good luck!

This game seems the same as Stonehearth, However, Stonehearth has greater graphics and controls. I shall wait for stonehearth, DF is no good for me. Thank you though!

I’ve been thinking about this for about 2 weeks, I wanted to post my favorite game but I could’t make up my mind.

It ended up being a 4 way tie between Darksiders, God of War, Assassin’s Creed and Shadows of the Colossus.

  1. Darksiders - Darksiders is one of my favorite game series because it basically takes my favorite passage from the bible (I’m not religious) and turns it into a ā€œwhat would happen if he pressed the button too early?ā€ type snerario. I love the art style, I love the gameplay and I love the Horsemen. It also has my love of mythology as well.
  2. God of War - I love the violence, I love the colossal battles with titans as well as its tie ins to mythology. God of War managed to create that fine balance between gore and story that has been attempted so many time and failed, being the God of War you can really understand that he is violence and brutality, it also shows in what the gods make Kratos do.
  3. Assassin’s Creed - I love History. Obviously. I enjoy how Ubisoft managed to create a story of a family line using the assassinations of historical figures. The fact that very target is assassinated on the exact day and time of his reality death is amazing, sometimes it’s hard to believe that some of this could happen but for me it doesn’t take away from the experience.
  4. Shadows of the Colossus - If you played this, I don’t even need to explain myself.

ive seen this on so many ā€œtop 5ā€ lists, i’m ashamed to admit i’ve yet to experience it…

It’s an amazing game. If you ever get the chance to get it. You know what, you don’t even get to choose. You MUST get it when you can.

I finally got to play through Ico last summer and loved it. As soon as I come back home from school and get to visit my cousins who have it, I really want to finally play Shadow of the Colossus.

If I had to say my favorite game, currently it’s Xenoblade Chronicles. But most memorable and lasting…? I’d guess I’d have to say Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. I remember renting that game a ton from my hometown’s video and game rental store (along with a bunch of Mega Man games!).

I’m one of those ā€œgames for aesthetics and storyā€ people, so it’s always incredibly hard for me to decide. Too many games I find good stuff in to choose from.

If you need an idea of how amazing it is. I love that game more than I love myself, and I love myself more than someone should. It’s also where a lot of inspiration for my Qubicle Stuff comes from.
