I’d like to place a building around this area. I like to keep my buildings tight especially with Ascendancy Level 2 housing. Something is preventing me from placing down building blueprints and I can’t seem to figure out what.
Steps to reproduce:
Load save and navigate to the Island with the houses on it.
Use the Design a building tool and select Templates
Try to place a building opposite to the row of houses next to the bridge (Like in the screenshot)
Expected Results:
You can place the building, specifically opposite the other buildings and paralell to the one under construction.
Actual Results:
Something invisible is preventing me from placing it.
Notes:
Take note of the displacement between the cursor and the corner building being placed. The building template seems to be caught on something invisible. This has persisted a lot in the past but this is the first time I’m bug reporting it.
I recently encountered something like this, it occurred when removing a building, and remaining paused. This doesn’t allow the building entity to be removed. Try letting the game run until you see a poof, and re-pause. Hope this helps!
I have. I built those 3 buildings, then built three more a little more in on the island, built a bunch of other stuff elsewhere and decided I wanted to come back to that spot. Nope.
Yes, in other saves. I think this is occurring because I’ll put down the building, then edit it, them move it over, and when I do that sometimes the blue outline for the building stays in the original spot.
Ah, yes the building’s entity will stretch rather than move, the best option is saving a temp blueprint, removing the initial building and replacing it.
