Bug meat not stored

Summary:
As above, I can’t get my hearthlings to collect bug meat and store it, even when there are no other items to store. Eventually the trapping ground just becomes one big bug meat mess.
I start a new game with every patch and it happens every time.

Do you have empty storage that accepts cooking ingredients?
We recently nerfed the amount of drops from the traps a bit so that there wouldn’t be so many items laying in the trapping grounds when hearthlings are busy and don’t have time to restock.

I’ve got three dedicated “cleaners” (all they do is haul) and the ground is still littered with bug meat, chitin, jerkey and leather.
I have no idea what is going on but it’s not fun.

(There is moooore than enough storage, in urns and on the ground)

Could you upload a savefile where this is happening?

Also, are you playing the stable version or the unstable one?

Yes, here are the instructions:

  1. Find the save folder for the saves you wish to upload. By default, they are located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stonehearth\saved_games (assuming a default Steam install).
  2. Zip the folder.
  3. Right click the folder (should be a long set of numbers).
  4. Left click on Send to in the menu that appears.
  5. Left click on `Compressed (Zipped) folder).
  6. (Optional) Rename the folder to something different than the default set of numbers.
  7. Upload the save.
  8. If the zip is less than 10 MB, you can upload it directly. Either use the upload button or drag and drop it into the compose window,
  9. If larger than 10 MB, upload it to a cloud storage site like Dropbox, Google Drive, File Dropper, etc. and post the sharing link here.

1532531916416.zip (6.4 MB)

Here goes nothing. I hope I manage!

I loaded your savefile and everyone went to restock
I also paused everything but Hauling, and they cleaned all the jerky etc fast enough. They took more time to get to the fiber that was farther away, and given that there’s people mining / farming / etc the production will keep going so I’m not sure that 3 haulers will ever finish (they also have to eat and sleep). Also, there were frequent enemies in your savefile so everything was interrupted quite often.

Does reloading the savefile help for you? And pausing mining / job until most of the stuff is restocked? At some point I had to make more storages / stockpiles because most of them became full. Still not sure how your town got into that state, perhaps the hearthlings were busy crafting / building / mining and stuff kept piling up?

I try to spend some time between buildings to restock and chill. It is indeed a lot of enemies in this save game. It’s very challenging but kind of rewarding.
Will leave the game for a while and see if they clean up eventually. It’s just like this every game now. So maybe hauling needs more priority than it has at the moment.
