ok so I’ve played a while got a level 6 blacksmith then it hits me in what world does it make sense for a blacksmith to “Smelt” ingots on an anvil? then answer is… it makes NO Bloody sense at ALL!
so I got to thinking how can we make a Forge? I came up with using a fire pit as the base then adding dark stones to make a ring around the base of the pit Leaving the front open count 4 layers u cap off the fifth basic Forge I’ll post a pic soon
Some of the fun in this game is creating things the game does not have yet, with the tools we have been given, and a lot of imagination
I did something similar to what @Torkkar did by placing a brazier, a bird bath and a single table by the anvil But the firepit is better, the brazier only works at night…
Oh, trust me, this bothered me to no end when I first noticed it. I was formulating a big post about blacksmith issues, then just kinda meh’d out on it and assumed it would be touched up.
The inner Dwarf Fortress player in me wants there to be a separate job for smelter, but I will be happy as long as we get more advanced logistics chains for individual craftings. As @Ridesdragons pointed out.
The one bothering me the most now? The weaver working on a table to make thread. Grrr.
