GAH! I FORGOT TO LOG IN, NOW I HAVE OVER 100 NOTIFICATIONS orz

a gamer who's taking programming, art, and music classes in hopes of becoming a game dev myself some day. classically trained in music, and grew up on computers. I also grew up on british lit, reading shakespeare and performing his plays in the original format (not modern american english, but olde english) in elenemtary school, and reading books like harry potter by 3rd grade. my elementary school heavily pushed reading, and I myself had a college level reading level by 4th grade. my favourite genres of games are strategy and rpg, as well as any game that features construction, really (could be sandbox like minecraft/terraria, or strategy like empire earth/age of empires/stronghold. especially stronghold). my top 3 RPGs are Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy IX, and Tales of the Abyss (the Tales series and the pre-PS2 Final Fantasy series are my favourite series). my favourite strategy games are Empire Earth (the first one, the 2nd and 3rd ones were terrible, and killed the series and bankrupted the company) and Stronghold Legends (there aren't many strategy games for me to draw from, sadly). I'm also a bit of a history buff, primarily in the area of WWII and medieval europe, although I also know a little bit about east asian medieval history. My area of expertise in these areas are primarily military, based on weapons used, when they were invented, how they performed, who used them, and what they were used for. in WWII, I also know a lot about strategies, tactics, battles, notable figures, country background (the german depression, japanese conquest, etc), both land, air, and sea. I just really like WWII. I've taken 2 japanese courses, although I'm far from fluent in it, and plan to learn german and russian in the future.

I primarily participate in the Active Bugs, Suggestions, and Support area of the forums, although how helpful I am depends on how familiar I am with the issue and how badly I want to make a terrible pun. while I'm not the wittiest, I do try to leave a smile when I help people out, even if it's an "I can't believe I'm actually laughing at this" kind of smile.
